Another blizzard appears. Y/N is holding Junior close to her so he doesn't freeze while she's on Manny's back. She leans forward, keeping her hood up as best as she can.

"This storm isn't letting up!" Y/N yells over the wind.

She shivers, and Manny notices.

"Guys! We gotta get these kids out of the wind! How much further?" Manny yells.

Diego replies, "Three miles!"

The group stops near a slanted rock and they all sigh.

"We'll get there in the morning." Manny frowns.

Y/N shivers slightly. She jumps off Manny and searches through her backpack as Sid starts drawing a sloth on the wall. She pulls out a battery and some steel wool.

"What are you doing?" Diego asks.

Sid answers, "I'm putting Sloths on the map."

Y/N rolls her eyes and finds some old wood and hair in her backpack. It's times like this she's glad she doesn't clean her bag out. She knows from experience, hair is very flammable.

"Hey, why don't you make it realistic and draw him lying down?" Manny asks.

Diego smirks, "And make him rounder."

Y/N chuckles as she places the steel wool on top of the wood and hair from her backpack. She looks up to see Manny's taken the rock off Sid and is drawing a circle on the sloth. She chuckles.

"Hehe. I forgot how to laugh." Sid deadpans.

He tries to erase the circle, but in doing so, made a few sparks, landing on some wood next to Sid. Y/N tilts her head, wondering how she missed that small spot of wood.

"I'm a genius!" Sid exclaims as he kisses the rock.

Y/N rolls her eyes and smirks. Wait till the fire goes out. It'll be her turn to shine.

As Sid's fire burns, fueled with wood, Sid brags.

"From now own, you'll have to refer to me as Sid, Lord of the Flames." Sid smirks.

Y/N deadpans, "Flamelord, your tail's caught fire."

Sid looks at his tail and panics. He runs around the fire a few times, causing Junior to laugh. Y/N picks up some snow and throws it at Sid's tail, hitting it. Some of the snow lands on the fire, putting it out mostly.

"Oh come on!" Manny frowns.

Y/N picks the steel wool up from next to her and places it on the fire, slightly annoyed.

Y/N smirks, "Watch this."

The mammals turn to the female as she places the steel wool on top of her wood and then taps it with her battery a couple of times, causing it to burst in flames in each spot she tapped it.

"Who's the genius now?" Y/N smirks.

"Hey, guys. Look at this." Manny says.

Y/N and the others turn to Manny to see the kid walking.

"Good on ya, kid." Y/N smiles.

Sid whispers, "I don't believe it."

Junior coos and the older mammals exchange glances. Y/N lies down on the ground and smirks, just knowing what will happen next.

"Prepare yourselves for the shock of your lives, boys." Y/N smiles as she watches the kid.

Junior starts to walk towards Sid, getting Sid very happy.

"Come here you little wormy worm! Come to uncle Sid."

Suddenly, Junior turns, causing everyone except Y/N to widen their eyes in shock as Junior walks towards Diego.

"Looks like Diego's the favourite uncle, Sid." Y/N smirks.

Diego frowns, "No, go to him."

Y/N mocks, "The child has chosen his protector for tonight." as Junior hugs Diego.

Manny gives her a small glare.

"I'm kidding! Of course, you'll protect him!" Y/N instantly defends.

She sits down next to Diego and smiles, "I'm sorry for assuming you were out to get us. You're a really great guy, Diego. Thanks for getting us this far. I'd love to stay with you guys after we drop of Junior. You're a good guy."

Y/N pats his back and walks to Junior.

"Seed of guilt planted. I'm surprised at you, Y/N."

Suddenly, Junior starts yawning. Y/N smiles as she picks up Junior.

"I have an idea to help us sleep tonight, guys." Y/N smiles.

Everyone listens as Y/N starts singing, stroking the baby's nose, helping him fall asleep.

She passes Junior to Manny and prepares her own sleep spot while she continues to sing.

Y/N walks right next to Manny, pushing through the storm. She rolls her eyes at Sid's antics.

"The child looks fine, Sid. If he looked like he was covered in mush, I would tell. The human female apparently cares more about her appearance than the male." Y/N frowns.

Sid smiles, "I think he's starting to look like me. Hey Diego, what do you think?"

Diego stops for a moment, frowning. "Maybe we shouldn't do this."

Y/N frowns, "Why not, Diego?"

Diego answers, "Because if we save him, he'll grow up to be a hunter, and who do you think he'll hunt?"

"Maybe because we saved him, he won't hunt us." Sid inputs.

"Yeah, and maybe he'll grow fur and a long skinny neck and call you Mama." Diego retorts.

Y/N shivers slightly as she pushes through.

"What's your problem?" Manny asks Diego.

Diego pauses, then frowns, "Nothing. Let's go, I'm freezing my tail off here."

Y/N retorts, "How do you think I feel? I don't have fur!"

The group continues walking when Y/N feels something. She turns her head slightly up to see a tiger hiding. She shivers as she walks forward, trying to keep her neck warm with her hair. She hopes Diego will come to his senses soon. She doesn't want to become Saber-tooth tiger chow.

"I have a bad feeling about this..." She says, loud enough for Manny to hear.

Manny calls back to Diego, "Hey, Diego! You frozen back there?"

Y/N turns back to Diego and sighs. She shivers slightly and frowns.

"Get down!" Diego exclaims.

Y/N immediately obeys, although hers is an accidental one, tripping over some snow.

"What?" the boys ask.

Diego catches up to the others and frowns, "Get down and follow me."

Sid asks, "Hey, Hey, what's going on?"

"At the bottom of half peak... there's an ambush waiting for you." Diego frowns.

Y/N gets up and asks, "An ambush?"

Manny asks, "What do you mean ambush?" He then realises, "You set us up!"

Diego frowns, "It was my job! I was supposed to get the baby, but then-"

"You brought us home for dinner!" Manny glares.

Sid frowns, "That's it, you're out of the herd!"

Y/N sits down, acting heartbroken, "So all the fun we've had, all the camps, all the adventuring, was a lie?"

She even pinches her arm roughly, creating tears.

"I'm sorry." Diego frowns.

Manny picks him up with his tusks and pins him against the wall angrily, "No, you're not! Not yet."

Diego tries to say something, "Listen, I can help you!"

Manny frowns, "Stay close, Sid, Y/N. We can fight our way out."

Y/N shakes her head, "Afraid not. If it's an ambush, the entire pack is trying to take us down, our chances of survival are exceedingly low. And they're expecting a mammoth, too, making our chances even lower."

Diego nods, "She's right. The pack's too strong! You have to trust me."

"Trust you?! Why in the world would we trust you?!" Manny orders.

Diego answers, "Because I'm your only chance."

Y/N's eyes light up with an idea. A terrible, horrendous, and foolish idea that could go south so far it becomes north and shorten her life, but it's an idea.

"You're actually considering doing this?!" E/N exclaims, shocked.

"You're staying with Pinky." Manny orders.

Y/N protests, "But I can help!"

"Manny's right. It's too dangerous for you." Diego frowns.

Y/N groans, "Fine!"

She hides in the tree with Pinky on her lap. She waits until the boys have left, then she smirks. She pulls out three parts of a staff, putting them together, then pulls the spare petrol out of her bag.

She smirks as she pours the petrol over the ends and shoves a lighter in her back pocket. Her plan involves a little bit of magic tricks and instilling some fear into the tigers. She puts the baby down in the tree after she crawls out and buries her bag next to the tree.

"Stay here, kid. Sid will be back to pick you up." Y/N smiles.

E/N asks, "Are you sure you want to do this, N/N?"

Y/N nods as she walks away, "Absolutely. It's about time I stopped hiding it."

Y/N puts the fire-staff into the back of her shirt and dives under the snow, swimming through it towards Manny. She sits behind him, waiting for just the right moment. The tigers go around the rocks to see Manny.

"Surprise!" Manny exclaims as he knocks them back, two of them off a ledge, the other just nearby.

Y/N jumps out and yells, "Double surprise, mudda-fudgers!"

She whacks the last one with her stick off the ledge, laughing.

Manny frowns, "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be with-"

"The baby and let you have all the fun? No way!" Y/N laughs.

Diego frowns, "Okay, follow me. We'll pick up Sid and get out of here while we can."

Suddenly, another tiger appears. Y/N recognises him as Soto.

"Come on Diego, let's bring this Mammoth down!" He growls.

Y/N glares, "You're not laying a paw on him!"

Suddenly, the mammoth and human are surrounded by tigers. Y/N holds her staff protectively in front of her, standing in front of Manny, who is trying to push her behind him. Her pupils shrink slightly as Diego stands in front of them.

"What are you doing?!" Soto glares.

Diego glares, "Leave the mammoth alone."

Soto exchanges a glance with his lackeys, then decides, "Fine. I'll take you down first."

Y/N's left hand twitches slightly as she tightens her grip on the staff. Soto circles around Diego, getting ready to pounce. Y/N takes a breath as her right eye starts twitching. Suddenly, Soto pounces on Diego, throwing him into the snow. They have a very dangerous catfight. Manny pulls Y/N along to escape, only to be cut off by the other tigers. Y/N lets out a snarl, slightly scaring one of the tigers. One pounces on Manny, only for Y/N to hit him away with her staff, snarling.

"Get away from him!" Y/N yells, her voice much deeper than normal.

She splits the staff into two pieces and attacks them, like a Jedi who used two lightsabers instead of one. Y/N turns to see Soto's thrown Diego into a rock, hurting him. Y/N gasps at her friend getting hurt. She quickly puts the staff back together as she and Manny are backed against a wall. Y/N glares at Soto. She doesn't even feel the cold anymore because she's rightly become hot with anger. Soto leaps for Manny, only for Diego to jump in front of them.

"NO!" Y/N yells.

She feels her body shaking in anger. The baby makes a noise, drawing Soto's attention away from Diego. Y/N glares and slams into Soto's body, angry.

"That was your biggest mistake." Y/N glares, her eyes filled with evil.

Y/N twirls the staff in her hands. She swipes it towards Soto, who roars at her. She roars back.

"I have rightly become hot with anger! For Diego's life, you shall pay with your blood!" Y/N roars.

She wrestles with the tiger, putting him in a headlock a few times, then she gets thrown into a wall. She glares at the tiger, attacking with her staff.

"You think you're so dangerous, Soto? You haven't seen danger until you've met E/N! And let me tell, you, She's a demon who lives in me." Y/N glares. "I keep her caged, but she's wanting to come out. And she's ugly."

Y/N's pupils become pinpricks, no mercy in them. She lights up the ends of the staff, spinning it around.

"She's hiding in the dark... Her teeth are razor-sharp... There's no escape. I want to tear out your heart and turn it into my hat! I must confess, I feel like a monster. And I love it!" Y/N smirks.

Y/N's eyes suddenly lock onto the others of the pack. She licks her lips, feeling a predatory hunger that she's never felt before.

"The nightmare's just begun, boys!"

She hits the other tigers away as they jump towards her, a crazy smirk on her face. She locks eyes with the baby then realises she needs to end this now. She turns to Soto.

"Let's finish this, Soto." She growls.

She throws away her staff, the fire dissipating slightly. She screams as she runs at Soto, then headbutts his body, throwing him into a stone wall, just underneath some sharp ice pieces. They drop on him, killing him. Y/N's pupils return to their natural state. She widens her eyes as she realises what she's just done. Manny turns to the other tigers and glares, and they run off, terrified. Y/N falls to her knees, feeling a pang of intense guilt. She then gasps.

"Diego!" She rushes over to him.

Diego breathes weakly as he lies down on the ground. Y/N sits next to him, concerned.

"We were... some team, huh?" Diego breathes.

Y/N asks, "Were? We ARE a team, Diego. I went crazy-town-banana-pants to defend you. We gotta get Pinky to the other humans."

Diego apologises, "I'm, uh, sorry I set you up."

Sid frowns, "Ah, you know me, I'm too lazy to hold a grudge."

Y/N agrees, "Yeah. They're way too heavy."

Sid puts down Junior, causing him to hug Diego slightly.

"Hey, knock it off, Squirts. You gotta be strong." Diego tells the kid and Y/n, "You gotta take care of Manfred and Sid... Especially Sid."

Y/N lets out a weak chuckle.

Sid says, "Come on man, you can lick this! You're a tiger! Look, I'll carry you. What do you say?"

Y/N looks at Sid with a Really? look.

"Come on, Diego, come on! Tell him he's gonna be okay, Manny." When Manny doesn't respond, he turns to Y/N. "Y/N, come on you tell him."

Y/N sighs, tears pricking her eyes. This is so much more heartbreaking in person. She's actually become connected to these mammals. And she knows the future.

"Listen, you have to leave me here. If those humans get through the pass, you'll never catch them." Diego frowns.

Manny frowns, "You didn't have to do that."

Diego smiles weakly, "That's what you do in a herd."

Y/N growls, "I could've... If I had lost it earlier you wouldn't be hurt like this..."

Diego passes out. Everyone has a silent mourning moment for a few minutes when Y/N lets out a loud scream that echoes over the icy land, letting all within a five-mile radius hear the sound of ultimate suffering. It sounded something like this, only female:
