Okay so before I start this, I just wanna ask if you agree with the following

HG fandom: I HATE MARVEL HE KILLED RUE HE'S SUCH A DEVIL KILL HIM HE SUCKS I RATE THIS DEATH ZERO

Now if you're the average fanperson, then you'd agree, but *lowers voice to whisper* I certainly don't. I really feel bad for him. *gets swarmed by people carrying nightlock* *snaps fingers and flies away in a jetpack* Okay, okay. Back to normal.

I just wanna point out that when Marvel killed Rue, he was most likely trying to kill Katniss, but since he kinda fears her, like most Careers, his aim probably went wrong out of shock when he saw her suddenly appear, and Marvel shot Rue instead, causing Katniss to kill Marvel.

Plus, you gotta remember that you almost always HAVE to kill to survive; that's basically the whole point of the Games. And while Marvel did act like he was happy to murder, take note that he wasn't really as enthusiastic as, well, the rest of the Career pack except for Peeta. Sure, he whooped and cheered when they chased Katniss, but Marvel could've done that for survival, so that he won't anger Cato-who actually seemed to like the Games (until Clove died)-and cause a scene.

In addition to that, I may as well add that I'm a Glarvel shipper, which means that Marvel may have tried to win the Games so he could avenge Glimmer's death, except Katniss just had to shoot that stupid arrow so our fave chill, innocent District One dude collapsed like a pile of flour under heavy water.

So I rate this death a 95 out of 100, with bonus points since everyone else hates this awesome kid.
