Kai's POV Age: 8

My name is Kai Kaze, and I'm a hybrid of a hedgehog and a dragon. I'm a member of the Red Scarves.

Now you may be thinking "How can a kid be a member of a group of thieves?" Well, the answer is that one of the members thought I was a ball and stole me but in reality, I was sleeping and I like curling up into a ball.

Carol: Hey Kai.

Kai: Oh hey Carol, Lilac.

Carol and Lilac are my best friends and the only members of the Red Scarves I enjoy talking to.

Lilac: Carol and I are planning to escape at night and we were wondering if you want to join us?

Kai: Do you even have to ask? Of course, I want to join.

Carol and Lilac smiled before telling me that they'll give me a signal to join them tonight.

Kai: *Mentally* I finally get to leave this life behind me, a new chapter awaits for me and my friends.

I went to my room to wait for nightfall but in the meantime, I started to pack what I needed like food and water into a backpack and lastly, I left the red scarf I was given behind on my bed.

Kai: Alright, I'm ready.

Carol: *Knocks on Kai's door* Kai, it's time.

Kai: I'll be right there. *Opens the door wearing his backpack* Let's go.

Lilac: We're heading to a forest near the Dragon Valley because that could be a good place to hide.

I snuck out of the Red Scarves' hidden base with my friends and then we started running to the forest Lilac mentioned.

Timeskip

My friends and I think we were far enough from the hidden base, I was tired and sat down on a tree stump and Lilac joined me.

Kai: Hey Lilac, do you think things will get better from now?

Lilac: I hope so, Kai but as long we're together nothing will break us.

Carol: Lilac's right Kai, if we stand together nothing can break our will.

3RD POV

Kai smiled at his friends before letting out a small tear and falling asleep on Lilac's shoulder causing the water dragon to blush while Carol looked jealous because they have a crush on the hybrid but don't know how to tell him.

Lilac: *Mentally* Kai is so cute when he's sleeping.

Carol: *Mentally* You just got lucky Lilac but next time, Kai will fall asleep on my shoulder.

(A/N): Alright, the prologue is complete, and I want to know. Should I make Kai a water dragon or not? But keep in mind he's a hybrid of a dragon and a hedgehog.
