"Thank you for coming to Genesis Creamery," I said in the professional voice as the bell chimes with happy costumers.

The shop just opened up two days ago, and it hasn't been going anywhere... yet.

"How many?" Autumn asked me as she came out after still filling out stuff for the business.

"Three..." I said, groggily. The bells chimed again, and only it was Autumn's ten-year-old little sister Genesis. She smiled at me and signed to get her a banana split.

I smiled in reply as she points out the flavors.

"Wait wait," I said towards Autumn as an idea hit me.

"What's up?" Autumn asked as I put the scoops in the rectangular-like bowl and had hurriedly sliced the banana in half.

"I have an idea," I said as I signed asking if she wants any whipped cream or cherries.

WHIPPED CREAM Genesis signed back as I put the whipped cream on top. Genesis had three dollars in her hand as she passed it to me and I passed her split to her.

"Anyways, what's on your mind Eve?" Autumn asked.

"Well, you know how people love kids right?" I asked as I motioned towards her young sister whom just sat down, ready to feast on her dessert.

"Oooh, I get the picture," Autumn said as she walked towards her sister.

Genesis looked at me, then to Autumn. I think she got the message once I had my phone out and had the camera app out. Genesis takes a scoop and puts the spoon to her face, posing for the camera.

SMILE Autumn signed as Genesis made a Mona Lisa like smile. I took the picture as I looked at it and shown to Genesis.

GOOD Genesis signed as she looked at it, with a positive smile.

She went to eat ice cream as Autumn tag-teamed. I sat with Genesis who was eating the banana part. I had pulled up my other good friend Khloe whom because the girl to make ads happen.

Hey, K.

I texted. She didn't respond as the bells chimed and I turned my head to see Khloe.

"K!" I called out to her, as she turns towards me.

"Heard one of my BFFs opened up an ice cream shop." She said with a friendly smile as I friendly hugged her.

"K, thank god you're here."

"Yeah I know, I had that friend instinct that told me you need help. What picture you have in mind?" Khloe asked as she knew what I needed help with. I showed the picture of Genesis as Khloe pondered.

"That can work since kids love ice cream and that the whole state would know you and Autumn opened up this place to support Autumn's deaf little sister dream." Khloe boasted.

"Also I would need a picture of you three since my babe would make a blog about this place," Khloe said. Her boyfriend, Justin, is a well-known playwright and he would blog about his plays, seeing his play in action, and other places he would recommend.

I walked towards Genesis, giving her a small tap on her shoulder after she had one last bite of the split.

SORRY. I apologized, she giggled slightly.

Genesis nods as Autumn leaves her post as she stood in front of the station with her arms crossed, pulling off a professional like pose. I stood from the left side also crossing my arms. Genesis pulls off the same pose as the both of us. Once the camera sound was made. I gave a tap, signaling the picture was taken.

"Now, for something for my Dad who wants it to look silly and both happy," Khloe said as I translated for Genesis. We walked outside and I had an idea. I picked Genesis up and let her sit on my shoulder, once Autumn stands next, Genesis slides over as if she's sitting both of our shoulders. We all made faces of enjoying ourselves...

And this is the first time I ever heard Genesis actually laugh. Autumn was shocked since she told me, Genesis, never actually fully laughed ever since she was a small baby.

The camera sound made again, as me and Autumn carefully let down Genesis.

"Hey, while you're at it get me a strawberry cone," Khloe said as Autumn nods as Genesis finally was able to have peace and finish her ice cream.

Later.

The first day wasn't perfect - once Khloe got her ice cream, she left and started to focus on her job.

"Hey..." Genesis spoke, with her hearing aids on as she came into my room. While she's at our house, she wears her hearing aids and currently, she doesn't have hearing aids to use out in public (school already supplies it for her to use on school grounds).

"Eve..." Genesis said softly as she crawled on my bed.

"Sorry, lost train of thought.."

"Thank you... for making me laugh earlier. Ever since I was told I was a premature baby and that I won't be able to hear like you and Autumn would do..." Genesis' voice trailed off.

I knew what she was talking about, ever since she was told she could never hear. It made life complicated for her and for her to be treated as a special kid.

"Hey, it's okay. You know other then Autumn being my best friend, you're like a second best friend almost a little sister to me."

"Do... you think the ice cream shop will be popular...? Maybe get noticed by Drew Lynch?" She asked. Drew Lynch. The name that Genesis mentions a lot.

The man that is Genesis' idol. The guy with stuttering problems and with his service dog Stella. He's cute but eh...

"Maybe, maybe," I said with a smile as she smiled.

"Anyways... I'm sorry to bother you."

"No, it's okay. I told you I always leave my door open in case you need me." I told her as she hugged me.

She left my room while I just lay there, thinking what tomorrow may bring.
