Hogarth and Robin stares slightly at the robot.
"He's asleep," Robin said with a curiosity towards the robot.
"Don't you think we should check him out?"
"I think so. Let's go see him."

Hogarth followed after Robin as they climbed up broken trees limbs to the robot.
Robin threw a rock at it to see if the robot would wake up, but it didn't.
The kids climbed onto the robot's head and Hogarth dropped a rock into the giant Robots mouth. They could hear it bang deep inside the metal mouth finally hearing it hit the bottom.

All of a sudden the robot turned back on. The two kids screamed as its eye lit up, and as it got up, Hogarth and Robin scrambled down the broken trees, but Robin tripped and sprained her ankle on a rock.
She cried out in pain.
"Robin!" Hogarth grabbed his sister and flung her onto his back, running away from the giant robot.
In the distance, Hogarth could see the faint light of a vehicle approaching, and decided to run towards it screaming,
"Help! Help! Stop! Help! My sister's hurt!"

The car turned out to be his mother's and it swerved right to Robin and Hogarth. Annie got out.
"Hogarth? Robin? Kids!"
"Mom!", both the kids cried out and ran toward their mother. Annie kneeled down in front of them,
"What do you think you two are doing?! Don't you know better than to wander off at night alone? What if something happened to you?!"
"We're sorry, mom."
Annie hugged both her kids.
"Oh, don't you ever do that to me again, Hogarth and Robin. I was so scared, I thought I lost you too."

Hogarth said,
"Mom. You won't believe this. Something ate our antenna!"
"Oh, Hogarth."
"No! I'm serious! Oh, but it's not like Sputnik, like Mr. Stutz thought.
"Hogarth."
Robin piped in.
"No it's a robot! No, really it is! And the robot, it's 100 feet high, and it eats metal!"
"Stop it!", Annie said sternly. "Just stop. I'm not..." she sighed. "I'm not in the mood. Come on let's go home."
They walked to the car, though Robin was trying to walk but her ankled hurt  very badly. She whimpered in pain
Annie gasped.
"Honey what's wrong?"
"Robin sprained her ankle while running."
"Oh, you poor baby. Well, let's not waist time getting in the car. Hogarth, help her inside."
"Yea mom."

Robin was starting to feel very tired, so Hogarth helps  her into the car. They rode home, Robin sleeping against Hogarth,  while Hogarth looked out the window, where  the giant stood staring in the night.

When they got home, Hogarth carried his sleeping little sister to their bed room and placed her gently in her bed. Springer hopped into the room and croaked.
"Shh," Hogarth said. He picked him up and put him next to Robin. Robin clutched her stuffed bunny her father got her in her sleep, smiling slightly.

Hogarth smiled and kissed her forehead. Feeling tired himself, he crawled into his bed and eventually drifted off to sleep, but with the giant robot on his mind.

Robin's stuffed bunny
