Swetha was complaining to Roja over the phone. Yes, two besties were conversing after a long time. Apparently, Swetha had seen pics of Roja's engagement in social media and was pissed off at her, for not telling her such an important happening in her life. After all, they had worked together before Roja joined Arjun's hospital, and were friends since their school days.

Roja : Hey , am extremely sorry di! Koopda koodathu nu laam illa. Ellame takkunu plan panni takkunu mudinjirchu, in a very short notice. Athunala than yarayum avlova koopda mudiyala. Aana innum neraiya events irukku di...

Just then, Roja noticed a second call coming. Her face lit up. It was her man! And that too he was video calling her. She couldn't wait to answer it

Roja : Aahaannn...Swetha! Namma naalaiku pesalame 🙃

Swetha : Hey! Enna Roja, Athukulla phone ah cut panna try panra. Naa evlo naal ku appram call pannirken 😒

Roja (impatiently grumbling) : Ayyo iva Vera neram kaalam theriyama..

Swetha : Etho polambara mathri irukku...

Roja : Achoo, en arivu kolunthu, theriyarthu la. Appram phone ah vei en ma😩

Swetha : Sari sari, Naa unnode privacy kulla laam varala. Nerla varuven la, appo vechikuren. Ippo nee nadathu

Chuckling, Swetha hung up while Roja sighed deeply
She then picked up Arjun's call eagerly. As soon as she attended it, she was greeted by Arjun's bright smiling face from his bedroom. 🤩

Arjun : Hi Roja! ☺️

Roja fell flat for his smile once again for the nth time.

Roja : Arjun Sir! 🤩

Arjun saw Roja blushing and beamed at her. Just then he noticed something.

"Hey Roja! Look at our costumes. Same colour 💛What a coincidence!"

Just then Roja also realised what Arjun was saying. Coincidentally, both were wearing the same yellow coloured costumes. She was surprised

Roja continued -

Roja (curious) : Enna vishyam sir?

Roja (surprised) : Arjun sir, Neenga Romba advanced ah irukkinga sir. Naa itha pathi laam yosikka kooda illa 😂

Arjun : Yosikanum Roja yosikanum! Namakku engagement finished. Next 10 days la marriage. Appram straight ah honeymoon than! Ippove sonna than Namma families kum ticket, resorts laam book panna easy ah irukkum😉
Sari, nee sollalena Enna, naane solren.

Arjun went into thinking mode.
Roja was also thinking.

"NEW ZEALAND"

Both of them said in unison. Both paused and looked at each other extremely surprised.

"Ada! Ithulayum sync ah!"
Arjun exclaimed.
"Sari, plan panniduvom!"

After sharing a few more blissful moments over the phone, both decided to go to sleep as it was already late night.

Arjun : Roja, Good night 🫶🏻☺️

Both blew a kiss to each other over the phone and then cut it, half heartedly as sleep was calling them, urgently.

Ashok was busy chalking out a master plan to ruin Arjun's wedding happiness. He was seriously into it and was closely watched by his side kick Dr. John

John : Enna doctor panringa
Ashok : Porumaiya iru John, solren.

Ashok made some phone calls here and there and told them some plans and gave them instructions.

After sometime, he smiled triumphantly. He turned to John
John : Romba santhoshama irukkinga pola
Ashok : Irukkatha Pinna. Naa Arjun ku vechirkara wedding gift appdi😉
John : Appdi enna gift

10 days passed in no time. It felt that thet had just got engaged, but now marriage was just a couple of days away. Both Roja & Arjun's excitement was sky high - as it was the day of their mehendi and Sangeet function.

It was a day meant for fun and frolic. Both the bride and the groom's family had chalked out a list of songs for the couple to perform. Plus there were additional songs too, for everyone else to perform. They had planned the mehandi at night after the sangeet.

Both the families arrived at the venue which was beautifully decorated for the function. As always, Roja & Arjun were given a matching pair of costumes which they wore from home and came.

💜 R O J A  &  A R J U N  💜

Roja wore a simple silk purple gown while Arjun wore a purple salwar suit with golden patiala. Both looked stunning as always 😍

Soon after all the guests arrived, Deepa climbed up the stage along with Ashwin to host the sangeet function.

"Inga vanthu irukkara ella anbu nenjangal kum enga rendu kudumbam sarbagavum Romba Romba nandri. A very warm welcome to each and everyone of you present here this evening, to grace the sangeet function of my Dear Anna Arjun and my Dear Anni Roja"

Ashwin continued -

"Inniki full evening naanga neraiya songs ellam plan panni choreograph panni irukkom. It's an event of fun and frolic. Please make sure that all of you join in and enjoy this evening to the fullest."

All the family members and guests clapped vigorously.

First was a dance performance by Kalpana and Prathap as a starter to the event. Both twirled on the stage to the song "Kannamoochi Yeanada". The melody and their dance steps was a blissful treat to the eyes.

"Athai um mama vum avlo azhaga aadranga. Intha vayasulayum evergreen couple sir"
Roja whispered to Arjun.

"Pinna, Avanga yarode appa amma" 😎
Arjun replied back winking 😉

After Kalpana & Prathap's performance, Paati was invited onto the stage for a solo singing performance. She sang a song from the 1960s which was melodious, no doubt but the younger generations found themselves nodding off to sleep. 😂

"Psst...psst...Arjun sir..."
"Huh uh!! Roja! Sorry"

After paati's performance was a lovely dance performance by the three friends - Roja, Priya & Swetha and later a solo bhartanatyam performance by Roja. Arjun was wide awake this time and was keenly watching his angel put the steps effortlessly on the stage.

"Well done my angel!" 🥳
He cheered from the front row once she was done dancing while Roja beamed at him.

After this was a solo singing performance by Lakshmi Aunty (who apparently was a passionate singer), a dance by the two siblings Ashwin and Deepa and finally a cute dance by Malar, Kaushik and the ashramam kids for Eena Meena Teeka Song.

After all this was done it was finally the time for the stars of the show to shine.
Swetha went up the stage and called
"May we now have the stars of this event, Roja & Arjun to perform on the stage"

Locking themselves in each others' eyes, both held hands and walked upto the stage. That was all the audience knew. Moments later, they were cascaded into a world of love. Rojun performed for eight songs, one after the other, back to back, until each bone of their body ached.
But the audience were transported to a world of love while Rojun felt like they were in heaven. No one knew how the time passed until both finished the eighth performance , with Roja standing and Arjun kneeling in front of her, professing his love for her.
IT WAS A SERENADE OF PURE LOVE!

Even after this tiring performance of two hours, everyone's energy and enthusiasm was sky high. They decided to serve dinner and do the mehendi after that.
Roja also went to change her outfit for the mehendi function.

R O J A 💗 M E H E N D I  L O O K

Roja got ready in a beautiful pink lehenga for the mehendi ceremony. It was an intimate ceremony with only the close circle. The rest of the guests left to join the celebrations the next day

Just as Roja was about to leave the room, priya came behind her and blindfolded her.
Roja : Hey! Enna panra Priya!
Priya : Shhhh... onnume pesama en kooda varanum, unakku oru surprise irukku
Roja : Marubidiyum surprise ah
Priya : Ada Ama! Vaa en kooda

Priya carefully led Roja's way. After sometime she stopped and undid Roja's blindfold
