The next day morning...
Back in Arjun's house 😌
Kalpana and Sumathi were preparing breakfast for all. Kalpana laid out the dining table and began calling everyone for breakfast.

"Athai...Ennanga...Arjun....Ashwin....Deepa...Yashoda...Balu....Malar...Kaushik [Yashoda's children, Incase you don't know:)]
Ellarum vaanga breakfast ready"

Balu was the first one to arrive, as always, closely followed by Yashoda. Paati also arrived

Kalpana: Yashoda, pasanga enga ma

Yasho: Ready aayitanga. Bag ah pack pannitu irukkanga anni. Vanthurvanga ippo.

Paati: Inniki enna tiffin marumagale

Kalpana: Upma athai. Thenga chutney, kara chutney, sambhar ellame senjitten athai.

Everyone's face becomes dull when they hear the word 'Upma'

Annapoorni paati mindvoice: Upma va pottu saavadikarale. Paravaila adjust pannipom. Illaina 12 o clock varaikum onnum sapda kedaiyathu. Bayangarama pasika vera seiyuthu

Kalpana serves idli and Upma to balu, yasho, and paati. Prathap and Ashwin join in soon after.
Kalpana questioned Ashwin : Deepa ennada panra
Ashwin : Umgaluku theriyatha ma. Eppodhum pola romba nerama makeup pottutu irukka. Varuva 🙄

Kalpana: Enna Yashoda, kozhandaingala innum kaanom.
Kaushik and Malar climbing down the stairs (in chorus): Itho vanthutom athai.

Kalpana (smiling): Vaanga vaanga

As soon as the children sat down, Kalpana laid out upma. 😂the horror struck expressions on their face said it all.

Kaushik whined : Upma vendam athai. Please 😩
Malar also joined him: Ama athai, Upma nallavey irukkadhu pleaseeee athai.

Kalpana: Appdilam solla koodathu chellangala. Vegetables ellam pottu senjirken. Tasty ah irukkum. Udambukum nallathu. Saptuten pona thane full day school la concentrate panna mudiyum lunch break varaikum.

While Kalpana and all others were trying to convince the kids to eat, Arjun came rushing down, as usual.

Prathap spotted him and called out: Dei dei Arjun, nillu da. Tiffin saptutu po.

Arjun : Illa pa, Naa appram hospital poi saptukaren. Time Aayirchu. Naa late'uh.

Kalpana muttered under her breath "Enna Paiyan Ivan"

Paati: Vidu Prathap, Avana pathi than unakku theriyum la. Velai nu vanthuta ethuvum avanuku perusa theriyadhu. Turning to kalpana.."Marumagale avanukku tiffin ah pack panni kudu"

Prathap: Enna ma, neengalum avanode sernthu ippdi panringa.
Pack panni kuduthuta mattom correcta saptruvana. Anga poita avlo than. Nichyama sapda mattan. Namma kannu munnadiye sapadarthu illa.
Concerned... Naal muluka hospital hospital ah visit, checkup, surgery nu alayaran. Athukku ellam strength sapta thane varum. Doctor arokiyama iruntha thane patients ah arogiya padutha mudiyum.

Yashoda was forcing Malar and Kaushik to eat upma.

Malar: Vendam ma. Please. Naanga school canteen la poi samosa vaangi saptukarom.

Yashoda becomes angry.
"Canteen la samosa va. Enna Ithu puthu palakam. Appdiye onnu vitten nu vei..."

Yashoda was very short tempered and she was often cross with her children.

Malar's eyes were almost welled up with tears. That's when Arjun, although in a hurry to leave, intervened...

Arjun: Athai, Enna Neenga. Pasangala thittathinga nu ethana thadava sollirkom. Chinna pullainga thane. Chinna chinna vishyathuku laam ippdi thitti valakarthu sariyana murai illa athai. Malar Kaushik nalla pasanga. Rendu perum solra vithathula sonna nichyama purinjipanga.

Everyone at the dining table instantly turned towards Arjun. They all know how much he loved Malar and Kaushik and although he was a busy doctor, he never failed to set aside some time for both of them from his busy schedule. They made him laugh when he was stressed out and he also often took them out wherever they wished to go and the trio would spend quality time together. That was probably the only thing Arjun ever looked forward to, other than his profession and he absolutely couldn't stand his aunt scolding Malar and Kaushik.

Arjun walked towards the dining table, put his bag and coat down, and forgetting all about the hurry he was in, sat down next to the kids...

Arjun: Malar, Kaushik...Rendu Perum ennode chella laddoos la. Mama Enna sonnalum keppinga thane.

Kaushik : Kandippa keppom Mama.

Arjun : Appo naa Ippo Intha upma va ooti viduvenam...Neenga rendu perum chammatha saptutu school ku povingalam. Ok va?

Kaushik: Ayyo mama. Please mama. Intha upma va thavira Enna vena sollunga naanga kekkarom.

Arjun: Appdilam solla koodathu. Intha upma udambuku evlo nallathu theriyuma. Neenga nalla padichu future la periya aal aaganum nu aasa padringa la. Athukku school laye nalla padicha thane mudiyum. Athukku healthy ah irukkathu romba mukkiyam la. Athunala taste ah vida health than mukkiyam. Breakfast ah skip pannavey koodathu. Athuvum illama Intha upma evlo tasty ah irukkum theriyuma. Yaro unga manasula upma na taste ah irukkadhu nu solli vechirkanga. But Appdilam ethuvume illa. Neenga oru vaai saptu than parungalen.

Malar: Mama naanga sapadrom mama😊

Just then Deepa arrived.
Deepa to Kalpana: Paathingala ma..Neenga ellarum ivlo sonninga. Avanga rendu perum kekkala. But Anna sonnathum eppdi takkunu sapda othikittanga paathingala. Solravanga sonna ellam nadakum😉
She said gently pulling Kaushik's ear ❤️

Kaushik: Mama, breakfast skip panna koodathu school ku pogarthu ku munnadi nu Neenga sonninga. But Neenga paathi neram hospital pogarthuku munnadi breakfast sapdama than poringa. Ippo kooda sapadala thane.

Malar: Ama mama. Breakfast skip panrathu health ku nallathu illainu sollitu neengale skip pannalama. Engaluku ootringa la. Inthanga naangalum ungaluku ooturom. Neengalum saapdunga. Hospital ku sapdama pogathinga mama. ❤️

The entire family, including Arjun himself, was stunned at the thoughtfulness of the two children.

Malar and Kaushik each scooped a spoonful and fed it to Arjun. He, who usually used to skip breakfast, ate everything the kids fed him, much to the family's surprise.

Arjun : Pothum da chellangala. Vayiru manasu ellame full. Enakku ootinadhu pothum. Neenga sapdunga. Bus vara innum 5 mins than irukku.

The plate was over in a jiffy. The bus arrived. Arjun sent the kids off and then took his car and drove off. The entire family was very happy that Arjun managed to make the kids eat, and also that he ate breakfast himself.

Annapoorni Paati : Etho Malar Kaushik naala Inniki avan profession ah oru 10 mins maranthu nalla breakfast saptutu poirkan. Ippdiyavthu Avan sapta podhum 😌

Kalpana, Ashwin, Deepa all smiled under their breath, reminiscing what had just happened...❤️

After Prathap and Ashwin had left for office and Deepa had left for college, Kalpana decided to go to the temple

On the other side, Roja was happily getting ready for the interview to her new job as a receptionist at Arjun's hospital. She hoped that she would get selected and was cheerfully packing her things. Just then priya arrived and wished her luck 👍🏼

Priya: Kandippa nee nenachathu nadakum roja. Unakku than Antha velai. Unnode nalla manasuku nallathe nadakum. All the best!

Roja: Thanks di!

Swetha also called her and wished her good luck. After packing all her stuff, roja told everyone else in the ashram about her new job interview, sought blessings from the elders there and left on her scooty as usual.
On the way, she decided to stop at temple and do a quick prayer for her new venture. She stopped at the same temple where Kalpana arrived ........
