No ones pov

The King of France had sent some Sailors to capture a Mermaid, for a ritual of immortality that would be set on a day of a Solar eclipse. But for it to work he needed two things, the Mermaid and his long lost son whom he didn't know existed until now. The Sailors had captured a Mermaid, or a Merman.

Lance's POV

I just wanted to explore! How did it come to this? Well we're going to have to go back in time for this...

Flashback...

I really wanted to explore. Explore what was out there, in the sea, in the world. My sister was against it from the beginning, she's way too overprotective over me. "Well if your gonna go out there! I'm coming with you!" She said with her arms crossed and her face in a pouted look. I rolled my eyes. "Do whatever you want. It doesn't matter if you go with me or not!" I said copying her expression and body language. She scoffed rolling her eyes. "Let's go already or we won't be able to go! You know there's a curfew." She said before pushing against my shoulder blades. I started swimming to the North. I had fun swimming. I've always loved it ever since I was young. Suddenly a storm came and it became incessantly harder to swim. Then the worst came to worst, an explosion blocked me and left me injured, before I got caught up in a net. I'm being captured... "Allura!?" I yelled as I saw her caught up in a net. It was being pulled up above the waters surface, I felt mine being pulled up too. "Lance!?" Allura's muffled voice yelled out before she reached the surface, before I reached the surface. I realized that we were on a ship. 'I have to get out of here and save Allura!' I thought my heart racing, feeling scared. I used my tail to knock out the people who caught us and grabbed a knife one of them dropped, then used my tail to swing my self over to the net Allura was in and cut the ropes. Allura got out of the net trying to get me out. "Don't worry about me. You get out of here." I said smiling bitterly. "But- She started to say. "No buts. GO!" I said. I could barely see the tears in her eyes, as it was dark out. I could hear the splash of the water and her crying as she escaped, before being hit in the head and blacking out.
