We all went separate ways before Sonic's escapade with Slade. I was walking through the street, though, when someone dressed up as me attacked me.

There was what looked like a life-like mannequin dressed up like me, so I stopped to look at it. Every detail was flawless. My belt, my shirt, my hair... Even my skin was exactly the same as it was on the mannequin. It was like looking in a mirror.

I looked from side to side, and it suddenly disappeared. I blinked and rubbed my eyes, but it had definitely vanished. I just thought I needed to get some more sleep.

With a yawn, I turned to walk, and there it was in front of me. It was behind me as well. "What are you?" I asked it.

"Is that how you greet someone?" It asked, both mannequins hitting me on either side.

I fell to my knees. "Fine. Who are you?"

The mannequins smiled. "That's better."

But it hadn't answered. Silently, I pulled out my bo-staff, then quickly raised my hand near my head and extended it. The mannequins went flying backwards.

"That wasn't what I expected." They said, each pulling out a bo-staff of their own.

If this was a one on one battle, it might have been possible. But two of me against one of me... I wasn't so sure. But I ignored my gut and dodged their attacks as much as I could; I jumped over some, held the bo-staff to deflect a few, and ducked to miss other attacks. But I couldn't keep it up forever, and I couldn't get on the offensive.

"I guess we need more power." The mannequins said simultaneously. I watched in wonder and horror as one of the mannequins split into another me, letting the other whack me on my arm. The lower half of my non-fighting arm started to burn and shake uncontrollably.

I knelt towards the ground and swung the bo-staff across the ground, but two of the mannequins jumped over it, grabbing some of my birdarangs. That's when I started to run.

Most of them missed me, and I threw some back. I held my arm in front of me, knowing I would have to wait for Raven to repair it. It burned and stung, and every time it moved, a pain went through my wrist and hand. It was completely unusable.

The mannequins continued to follow, and another one morphed out of them. I ran into an alleyway, hoping to jump up to the top of the building, but one of them grabbed my leg, swinging my back to the ground.

"What do you want?" I asked, my hand clutched around my bo-staff.

"You out of the picture." They said. "For now."

He wrapped his hand around my communicator and squeezed, killing any signals to or from anyone.

He let go and let my hand fall, and I pulled my bo-staff out again. I didn't know why I was trying again. But I at least figured out something. The extra morphed mannequins dissolved once they got stabbed through. They were soft, like jelly, but they got harder once there were less morphs. I destroyed two, but couldn't get my staff through the other extra.

Then they simultaneously hit me on my head and everything turned white.

It was really dark when I woke up. The mannequins had left their mark on me, though, and I could feel it. My arm felt like it was getting worse, which didn't seem possible. The back of my head throbbed. The clothes on my sides and chest were torn, and purple spots were starting to sprout.

Perfect. The leader of the Titans had been beaten by himself.

I stood up. The Titans were probably back at the tower and asleep, and my communicator was busted. Was I really going to be reduced to using a boat and a paddle?

I started out for the ocean side by the city. Only a few people were out, and no one seemed to notice me. If I was lucky, maybe I'd spot Starfire or the others out and about searching for me.

But I had no such luck. The T-Ship was gone. But there were other boats. Maybe I could just borrow one and return it later...?

The first one I went to was a small motor boat with the keys inside. I turned it on, and it got me to the Tower as quickly as I needed. I parked it outside, hoping I would remember to return it later.

I opened the doors of the Tower, seeing all the lights off. I stumbled inside. I looked at my arm. It was a little red, but it looked normal other than that.

"Hello?" I called, but no one came. So I turned the alarms on for a few seconds, then turned them off.

Everyone assembled in a line, looking shocked at me. "I'm fine." I told them. "What happened? Where is Sonic?"

Everyone was silent, as if the one person who told the news would be banished from the team or get a punishment worse. "Tell me!" I yelled, frustrated with the pain that coursed through my body.

"You told him off!" Beast Boy became angry, as if I had no right to yell at them. "You told him off and screamed that he was worthless and couldn't be trusted on the team. Then you vanished, telling us to leave us alone. So we went back to the Tower."

"I..." The mannequins. They were responsible. "It wasn't me."

"Sure!" Beast Boy turned around and walked away. "It was actually Slade. He disguised as you and beat you to a pulp, threw you in an ocean, and you got eaten by a shark. Then, in the belly of the shark, you-"

"Can it, Fuzz Brain!" Cyborg yelled.

"Actually," Raven pondered, "I'd liked to hear that story."

I rolled my eyes. But Starfire said, "If you were not the one to 'tell off' Sonic, then what happened while we were sleeping?"

I explained that I saw myself in the shop and then fought the mannequins and lost - mentioning that my arm was possibly broken, but was otherwise fine - and they broke my communicator and I was stuck in an alley.

"I am not sure I understand." Starfire shook her head. "The mannequin manipulated?"

"Mutated, Starfire." Raven replied.

"He's probably lying." Beast Boy grumbled.

"Yeah, and I beat myself up for the show." I told him. "I'm sorry for whatever happened to Sonic. We'll find him first thing in the morning. I promise."

"Yeah, you know where Slade is?!" He got up to face me again.

Nobody had mentioned that. "What does he mean? Slade got him? How? What did I miss? I had just-"

Starfire looked down. "Sonic went to Slade on his own accord. He took the Chaos Emerald. It... It was his last choice of getting home if he thought you were refusing to help him."

She was right, but my thoughts were jumbled. The very thing we had been trying so hard to keep from happening had happened anyway. It didn't matter whether it was destiny, fate, the plan of some god or whatever. We had to do something before something - anything - else happened. We were all in danger if the jewel Sonic had was as powerful as he said it was.

"We have to find him." I said. It was the first thing that had come into my mind, and it was truly the first thing that we had to do. "Raven and Starfire, you take-"

"Robin." Raven said with deadly seriousness. Her gaze was so harsh it hurt to look at it. "We need rest; you most of all."

I realized how tired I was as she spoke. But the adrenaline of rushing out and finally finding Slade was still more overpowering. "If you won't help me find Slade-"

"Then you'll go do it all by yourself?" Raven interrupted, her teeth clenched together with anger. "You'll be the hero of the day? You'll get halfway there and we'll rescue you? No. You won't beat him. And you know you won't. And none of us know why you are so obsessed with Slade, but whatever the reason, it's pathetic."

"You mean besides the reason he's a dangerous psychopath?!" I yelled back. I tried to stop myself from saying more, but the fact that they thought I was only 'obsessed' with finding Slade for fun or something was rediculous and childish. "That isn't a good enough reason? Should the Teen Titans just go around and play video games on the couch or meditate all day? Yeah, at least we did one good thing in the last two days. We helped a friend succumb to Slade. Good job team."

Starfire frowned, but the rest of the team just looked angrily at me. Cyborg and Beast Boy were especially irritated by the playing games comment, folding their arms right after I said it. Raven held her emotions, as if nothing could escape from her mind.

I shoved past Cyborg with my arm, heading up the stairs and into my room. Everything would be better in the morning. Everything always was.
