Dear Diary, 

Idk why but my mother gave me this book today that I'm supposed to write in. "It's really old, Leporis. You just write down what happened in your day," Is what she told me. 

Not like much really happens.

I'm the illegal second child of the Panen family. My older sister, Velvet, is the first child. She's my only friend besides Nicolette and South. There my parents' friends' kids. Nicolette is their oldest daughter and South is their soon to be middle son. Yeah their mother is pregnant, again. 

I kinda have a crush on South. But I mean we really can't have any kids or a future unless we get out of Toren. 

In Toren, You're only allowed to have one child. The child will get a marking on their wrist when they are born. Velvet and Nicolette have them, they're some weird random symbol. I wish I had one. So does South. 

One day we are going to have to run away to a different country. One where we can be legal citizens. Or maybe we could just sneak off and get markings and come back and act like we were always here? No, that wouldn't work. They put peoples names in the system. 

Well that's all that really happened today so I guess I'll write the next time I feel like it.

Do I leave a sign off? Sure why not.
