The warning that filled the compound was a surprise to everyone. At first, everyone began to file out of their compartments and began to make their way towards the stairs on the floor to begin the long march down to the bunkers. There was very little sense of urgency, even Orion didn't feel too rushed about it. It wasn't until the first wave of bombs were dropped, it made the entire compound shake, and the power began to glitch, leaving everyone blind in the dark for only a second. It wasn't until then that people began to hurry, pushing people only a bit at first-- only enough to get past them. Then when the bombs kept coming, and when the sprinklers, meant to put out fires turned on by another glitch in the power in the compound-- people began shouting to one another to move faster. It had been a complete nightmare getting all the way into the bunker.

The bunker was huge, it was so far in the ground, that the bombs barely made it shake-- but the power was so weak down there that even the smallest quake from the bombs would make the power flicker on and off. And each time people would look up at the ceiling, horrified, almost like it was going to cave in at any moment.

Orion could lie and tell everyone around him who was terrified that it was going to be fine and that they'd probably be back in their compartments by lunch the next day. But in reality, it was terrifying down there. If the right bomb his the ground just right, and it was too much for the bunker to handle-- they would all be crushed and hopefully killed instantly. Otherwise they'd be buried alive and the bunker would just become a giant tomb.

He had made himself comfortable on one of the top bunks. And while people were beginning to calm down finally, he tried to just fall asleep. He just wanted to fall asleep, he just wanted to be woken up when they could all finally get out of there. When President Coin wouldn't have something to keep her from planning the mission to the Capitol. But for all they knew, they could have lost their chance. Peeta practically signed hims death sentence as soon as he warned Thirteen about the bombers. And Snow hated Quinn enough that she was probably already dead.

"Orion?"

He sighed heavily and moved his arm off of his eyes, his eyes had been closed so tightly that the dim lighting blinded him for a second. "What?" he looked over and saw Gale standing there. His mother and sister were making their bunk comfortable for themselves. "We're neighbors..." Orion sighed, "Don't expect a gift or anything."

Gale rolled his eyes, "I wasn't," he sighed, "We have to get along, Orion. You know that." in a whisper almost so his family couldn't over hear.

"Until I know what actually happened in Four, I don't have to do anything." he stated, "I'm not the one with a guilty conscious."

Gale frowned and stepped closer to the bunk, "I already told you what happened, Orion." he stated, "We had to find the hovercraft."

Orion sat up on his bunk, "I'm not going to blast you like I did in training, you're not worth that much time." he sighed as he hopped down off of his bunk and began to walk away.

"Where are you going?" Gale called after him, before muttering something to his mother and following Orion.

"To get a new bunk, what does it look like I'm doing?" he retorted.

"Orion, what else do you want me to say? Do you just want me to admit that it was my fault, that I let her get too far ahead and worried about myself first?"

Orion stopped in his tracks abruptly and turned around so sharply that Gale nearly ran into him. "Is that what happened?"

Gale rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, "No, Orion it isn't. But if we're going to be out there, and if we're supposed to have each other's back--"

"Like you had Quinns?" Orion retorted, "Gale, you can't just apologize and admit you messed up and expect that to make up for Quinn getting taken to the Capitol." Orion stated firmly, "You saw how Peeta looked, I guarantee that Quinn looks or looked worse. They need Peeta to look okay for the camera."

Gale sighed, "Orion, Quinn's going to be fine." he stated, "She's barely survived plenty of things before."

"Luck runs out, Gale." he stated, "And if Coin ever actually arranges that mission, and she doesn't come back-- her blood is on your hands."

"Then we need to get Coin to arrange that mission, soon."

"Coin only does things when it's convenient for her." Orion replied, "I'm going to see about the new bunk now." he stated, dismissing anything else that Gale was starting to say or was going to say.

So he did just that, whether he was going to take another bunk, or was just putting some space between himself and Gale...he didn't really care. Orion didn't make it far before he saw Mrs. Everdeen talking with a man, about Orion's age. He looked worn down, and still had a few cuts on his face healing. Orion had never seen him before. So he stayed back a bit and waited for Mrs. Everdeen to make her way to another bunk to check on another person who had been evacuated from the hospital ward.

"Hey," Orion asked, catching up with her a bit. "Who was that? I've never seen him before. Did he get hurt in training or something?" he asked, he had been in training for awhile, and was almost done. And he had never seen him there.

Mrs. Everdeen glanced back at the man who was chatting was an older man who had the bottom bunk across from him. "Finn Benson," she replied. "He's been in Thirteen for a bit more than a week." she sighed, "Coin has high hopes for him," she confessed, "He was a in charge of training new Peacekeepers in two, Command thinks that would make him a good Sargent."

Orion raised an eyebrow, "He taught peacekeepers how to flog people and they think that's a good quality?" it was no secret that Orion hated command ever since Quinn had been captured. He could pick apart any choice they made.

"He must have done something right though, Orion," she assured him, "Coins already given him Otto Samual's Squad." she told him, giving Orion a solemn look. The death of Otto was still a fairly sore topic for anyone who had been in Eight.

And hearing that he had been replaced by some peacekeeper didn't make it any better.
