First of all, hi, and welcome! This is my first shot at writing a werewolf story, and I did my best to avoid clichés (even though I have to say, I love werewolf stories and all their clichés xD). That being said, in this story, one of the major differences is that there are no "preordained" mates. There's technically no other werewolf out there that our main character is destined to be with. ;) So, yes, Savannah's parents can make her marry someone despite what she, or we, may want.

Below are a few notes that I think will be important to understanding the werewolf way of life in this story, so make sure to check those out before continuing.

Finally, I'd like to express that I do not have the rights to any of the pictures and or gifs I use throughout the story. I found them all on google lol. However, I do have the right to this story so it may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed in any way. This is also a work of fiction and completely from my imagination.

*NOTE*
In this story:

There are no preordained mates. They choose mates just as a human would choose a husband or wife.

The class system in the order of most powerful/influential to least is: Alpha/Luna, Beta, Gamma, and then all others.

The position of Alpha is handed to the first born of the current Alpha whether they be male or female. A male would become Alpha and choose an Luna. A female would become Luna and choose an Alpha.

In this story, a Luna is fundamentally a female Alpha, it's just another word for it. The positions of Alpha are equal- or, at least they're supposed to be. No matter how much we'd like to think that the Alpha and Luna are equal, in many packs the Luna often proves to be beneath the Alpha despite what's written in werewolf law.

A second born Alpha usually mates/marries into another pack because they must have some sort of role in a pack, therefore, arranged marriages for them are common as to maintain a high ranking position.
