The snap eliminated half of the galaxy. They failed. Roni blames herself, knowing she could have stopped the snap with the Cosmic Infinity Stone inside of her, but now that stone is gone, gone because she couldn't stay focused. When they go after Thanos again, they realize he destroyed the stones, therefore destroying  their only chance at reversing the effects of the snap. Disheartened Roni retreats into herself, only surfacing once a month to visit her brother and her niece. When Tony gives her the chance to go back with them she refused, believing herself too damaged to make things right. Will they restore the galaxy to what it once was? Or will they fail miserably once again, making Thanos the inevitable?
