"There's someone on the top of the Eiffel Tower!" Someone cried out from below the grand monument. "Someone help!" they screamed. Nathanael Kurtzburg was sitting a mere ten feet from the one screaming, drawing a picture of his boyfriend for his birthday. He was humming a tune from a recently released movie, one they had seen together. Nathanael's red hair was in a small man-bun on his lower neck, and as his head swiveled to see if the screams were true, his bun fell apart. It was hard to tell for sure, but there was definitely something on the top of the tower. A dark, foreign speck was at the top, moving around. Nathanael threw all his belongings into his bag and ran. 'this can't be good.' He thought as he ran. On his way out of the area, he relayed the message to news broadcasters not too far away. Soon, there were cameras facing the tower, barely capturing the image of the figure on top.

"What's this?" Ladybug asked as their group ran along the rooftops, her yo-yo buzzing with a notification. They had left Luka's early in the morning, and had been running around the city all morning. They'd checked the Notre Dame and Agreste mansion, but there was no sight of Hawkmoth or Mayura. They'd decided to roam the city in search, and to get used to running over the skyline once more. Ladybug pulled her yo-yo from her side and slid the panel up, stopping in her tracks as she pulled up the video she'd been notified about.

"-meone on the top of the Eiffel Tower. We're working on getting a helicopter out of the station to get further coverage, so stay tuned for that. The tower workers are prohibiting any visitors to the tower at this time. Many are thinking this is some kind of publicity stunt, but I have received word that this might be the doing of the great villain, Hawkmoth. More information to come. Back to you Nadia."

"Thanks Clara. Now, on to o-" Ladybug slid the panel back down over the body of her yo-yo, ending the stream of the news.

"It's her. It's Rena. They got her. She's on the tower." Everyone stopped dead, having not paused when she had. Carapace was steaming. They had his girl.

"They what?"

"You heard me, Pace."

"We've got to save her!"

"Calm down, it's better if we're calm, collected, and-" Carapace ran towards the tower in a fit of rage, throwing his shield down and riding it like a snowboard. "-have a plan... We're just gonna run into this and bet on wit and intuition?" she asked, looking at Chat Noir and Queen Bee. They nodded, pulled out their weapons, and ran after Carapace. Ladybug sighed and did the exact same, pulling her yo-yo and launching herself across the downcast city. There were clouds full of rain, ready to cry down upon the earth. The usually beautiful Parisian sky was bulging with negativity, as if it knew of the oncoming fight between hero and villain. When Ladybug landed at the base of the tower, the public gasped at the four heroes standing side-by-side. They whispered amongst themselves and pointed at the people they thought were gone for good.

"Let us through." Chat Noir growled at the police at the base of the tower.

"Chat!" Ladybug hissed at him. She pinched his cat ear. He turned and whispered.

"They don't believe it's us. They think we're cosplayers messing around." Ladybug gave him a blank stare in response and motioned upward. His lips formed an 'O', and he extended his baton. The crowd gasped, seeing they were the real heroes, and rushed forward. Ladybug, Queen Bee, and Carapace launched themselves upward, reaching the first beams of the tower. "Race ya!" Chat Noir shouted down as he gained altitude. The four heroes continued to the top of the looming metal giant, making it faster than any regular mortal could. "Rena!" he screamed as he landed on the platform.

"Well, well. I've waited for this day a long time." Chat Noir whipped around to see Hawkmoth, his father, in the flesh. He weighed his options on what to do. His friends wouldn't make it onto the platform for at least another minute because of his head start, but a lot can happen in a minute. "Adrien... why couldn't you have just let this happen? Why couldn't you just let me get your miraculous?" Gabriel was... pleading?

"Because, Gabriel-" He spat his father's name like it was a curse. "You're hurting innocent people, just for some, weird, demented wish!"

"I did it to bring your mother back!" Adrien was taken aback.

"M-mom?"

"I thought it was all over, until Mayura captured a fox." Hawkmoth chuckled and held his fist up. In his grasp was the golden chain of the fox miraculous.

"That doesn't belong to you!" Adrien lurched forward to grab the jewelry, but Gabriel was fast, and was able to dodge his son.

"With the miraculous of the fox, I can bring back the love of my life. Then, with the combined strengths of the moth, peacock, and fox, I will attain the miraculous of creation and destruction." He cackled, and Chat Noir heard Ladybug's yo-yo wiz past his head and wrap around the tower.

"No matter how many times we've told you, you never listen, do you?" Ladybug yelled from her position, leaning on the tower, her yo-yo in her hand. "You will be the one to fall, and the city will be saved from your treachery.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng. How nice of you to join us. And I see you've brought some friends. Welcome to your demise, heroes." He stepped back and opened is arms, always one for the dramatics.

"Where's your little slut?" Adrien growled.

"What?" Gabriel's had a sharp edge.

"Mayura. Last I heard, she was slutting it up on your lap." His words gained him a slap on the cheek. It was none other than the slut herself.

"Of all the things, I've done for you. All the times I cared, when your father didn't... you just see me as... as that kind of person?" she asked. It seemed that she was actually hurt. Though her eyes were purple and masked, Adrien could see the emotional pain behind it all.

"Who-"

"Nathalie, join me." Gabriel reached out to Mayura, who gratefully took his hand. Adrien gasped, placing his ringed and gloved hand over his chapped lips. "It seems my son is surprised that you are a miraculous holder."

"I haven't been your son in a long time. We both know that." Gabriel growled at his son when he spoke so lowly of their relationship. "I tried reaching out, tried connecting with you. You just couldn't put your pride behind you. I loved you. You were my father, and I took in every moment I had with you. Now, you're just the man who had sex with my mother. The man who ultimately caused her demise."

"Take it back."

"I can't take back what's already out in the open." Adrien watched as Hawkmoth grabbed his cane and unsheathed a blade. He didn't even flinch. If he was going to die, it was going to be valiantly and with his friends by his side. Gabriel handed his weapon to Mayura and slipped the fox miraculous around his neck. Trixx appeared by his side, her head down as she recognized her enslavement. "Trixx! No!"

"You know this kwami?" Hawkmoth smirked. "Trixx, huh?" he looked at the small fox with a menacing glare, one she returned, surprising the powerful man.

"You shall not prevail, Hawkmoth."

"We'll see about that. Transform me." Adrien watched in horror as Trixx was forced into her miraculous with wide eyes. Hawkmoth was covered in a bright amber light as the extra miraculous combined with the one already in use. When the light diminished, his suit was a nice burnt sienna, excluding the silver accents. He had fox-coat tails on his backside, combining into one tail at the beginning of his shoulder-blades. The shaft of his cane and the fox's flute were crossed on his back. The most surprising thing to Adrien, however, was the disappearance of his full-coverage mask. In its place was a plain silver one, only covering his eyes and the bridge of his nose. His eyes were closed as he reached his silver-gloved hand to tousle his perfectly gelled platinum blond hair. When his eyes did open, they glowed a vicious grayed yellow. "Let the battle commence." He said. And all hell broke loose.
