It is no surprise that as the ultimate Nintendo crossover, Super Smash Bros deserves a high place among the greatest Nintendo series ever created. Because it is, quite simply, all the series rolled into one - each with its own quirks and characters. So it seems only fitting that when they all come together, there are a great many stories and yet more crossovers to be told.
When I decided to do one myself, the only real issue was figuring out how to deal with my own inexperience. I have never even played games such as Kirby or Fire Emblem, but I still bring this story to you just the same. And quite the tale it is indeed: a classic 'good versus evil' in a very Smash-like way; a Nintendo parody of the marvelous and spectacularly amazing Lord of the Rings.
Before you turn up this book by its cover because you've never seen, or read, these wonderful stories, I ask you to bear with me for a moment.  You need only be a Nintendo fan of any sort to enjoy this book for what it is, whether you know who Tolkien is or not. For those who are skeptical, think of it as the sequel to the Subspace Emissary...
And of course those of us who know the best of both worlds, I hope you can appreciate this story all the more. Much dedication goes into my every work and I promise nothing less for this one. I have combined both the movies, the books, and all my knowledge of Nintendo, as well as a fair amount of imaginative storytelling, to weave this piece. It contains a tale unlike any you've ever seen.
Of course, I do not promise perfection. I am not a bestselling author, nor do I ever aspire to be one. In many ways I will forever feel like I cannot do this story and all it's potential justice; therefore, I ask you to overlook if you can it's issues and wants that are on account of me. Still, it is a story that begs to be told, and it has requested of myself to tell it.
