~ Previously ~

"Angel's song," I whispered as white lights surrounded my body, I could hear a beautiful voice surround the whole of Paris. It was the most beautiful and sad sound and I fell onto my bed, feeling my whole body pain and it felt like I had a hundred burns over me.

"Can you feed yourself?" I whispered to Lumi, who had tears in her eyes. "No angel miraculous wielder has ever done that, I'm proud of you," she smiled wiping the tears from her eyes. "Thanks, but it hurts," I felt a tear run down my eye. "Go to sleep, don't worry it doesn't last for a while, usually it lasts for a week, and it won't look like it either, it's just the pain," I could tell she was smiling.

"Okay, goodnight," I smiled and fell asleep easily, the pain never leaving. 

Merida POV

"Wake up, you're running late to school," I heard Lumi whisper as I slowly got up. "It hurts," I slowly got up, feeling a lot more tired than when I went to sleep. "You might want to look in the mirror," she explained as I looked into the mirror and smiled tiredly. "I look horrible," I whispered slapping my cheeks to wake myself up. 

"No you don't," Lumi whispered, landing onto my shoulder, snuggling. "Haha I know I do, Angel's gonna be away for a week or so," I said looking into the mirror. "I'm proud of you Merida," she whispered as I smiled. 

"That means a lot," I answered smiling, tying my hair into a messy ponytail and putting on a foundation to hide the bags. "I'm ready," I said as I put on a black hoodie with the words "Paradise" on it in white ink. 

Lumi hid in my hoodie as I walked to school. This week is a good time to think about the rhyme," I whispered, making my way towards school. 

"Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!" I heard a voice screech and as I looked to my right, I saw a familiar blonde-haired girl scream. "Hey you, what are you looking at!" She screamed looking at me. "I can't believe it, you look even uglier today," she laughed. "Sorry about her," I saw her best friend with orange hair mouth at me, as I smiled softly. 

"Let's go, Sabrina, we don't want to get germs from this trash can," she said as Sabrina walked behind her like a dog. "The successes of our past have become final in all our parting words of glory," I whispered, remembering the rhyme, controlling myself to not tear up. 

"Hey Merida, was Chloe being mean again?" Mari asked me, as I smiled. "No," I lied, putting on a fake smile. "Okay," she smiled at me, as we both walked over towards Miss Bustier's class.

I went to the back as I saw Nate sit in Lila's spot. I sat next to him and opened up my Ipad. "Thanks Alya, you're the best friend ever, you got me a seat next to Adrien," I heard Mari tell Alya.

"Girl that isn't for you," Alya said as her face dropped. "It's for Lila, she has an ear infection so you'll be sitting at the back next to Luke," Alya said pointing at a familiar black haired boy.

I tilted my head back as Mari walked slowly to the back. "This is so unfair," she sighed as I smiled at her. "At least we'll be together friends," I asked her extending a hand. "Friends," she smiled at me as Lila walked in.

"Oh my god guys, you remembered my ear infection," she exclaimed as I heard Mari growl. "Calm down Mari," I told her as she smiled. Lila sat down on her seat as she started talking to Adrien.

"Hi I'm Luke," the boy next to her smiled as I looked at Miss Bustier who had started teaching her class. "Hey baby," I heard a voice whisper in my ears as I looked to my right to see a red haired boy smile at me.

"I'm not your baby," I replied, focusing on the work that we had to do. "You are the epitome of beauty," he whispered in my ear, making my whole body get cold from his breath. "Miss, could I please sit somewhere else," I asked the teacher who answered yes.

"Luke could you please switch with Merida?" She asked the black haired boy. "Yes miss," Luke replied as we switched seats. "Hey Mari," I smiled at her.

"You should stay away from Nate, he will break your heart," she said to me seriously. "Count on it," I replied, smiling at her.

Mari POV
The rest of the class we didn't do much work, and Merida and I just talked and we had so much in common. I felt like I could tell her anything. Anything except my secret identity, of course.

I looked over at Alya whose hand was all over Nino. "They're a cute couple," I thought, still disappointed that Alya moved seats for Lila and made me sit in the back.

I looked at Lila flirting with Adrien as Merida looked at me. "Someone's jealous," she smirked at me, making me blush a bright red. "Umm no, never," I said a little bit loudly.

"Merida, Marinette, please be quiet," Miss Bustier said sternly. "Yes miss," we both replied as we looked at each other with a small smile.

I looked over at Alya who was busy chatting with Nino, Adrien and Lila. "It's like they forgot about me," I whispered as Merida put her hand on my shoulder.

"You've got me now," she said as I felt a tear come out of my eye. "Thank you," I replied, as she smiled.

"No need, we're friends aren't we?"
