Dipper P.O.V

I wake up with a pounding migraine. I can barely make out a few memories from the past few hours. I remember drinking a lot of alcohol and that's about it.

When I sit up I see that Bill isn't there. He was lying next to me when I fell asleep, now he's not. I look around the room to see that he isn't anywhere close either.

I sigh and get up, stumbling slightly when I walk. My head still hurts but finding Bill is more important. I can deal with a bit of discomfort or I could just take an aspirin. I decide taking an aspirin is better.

I slowly walk downstairs to see Grunkle Stan and Grunkle Ford sitting at the kitchen table having a drink. Just the sight of more alcohol makes me want to throw up.

I sigh softly when I don't see Bill around. My mind is telling me that he is gone and that he won't be coming back. My heart says that he will be back soon and will explain where he's been.

I sneak outside to the small ledge on the roof and sigh. The sky is pitch black with specks of light for stars. It's truly beautiful.

I sigh and watch the stars for a good amount of time. I don't exactly know how long it has been. I didn't check the time when I came up here and my phone is in the attic. If I had to guess I'd say it's been about twenty minutes.

The stars are truly distracting. I don't even notice that Grunkle Stan and Grunkle Ford are outside now. When I do see them they are near the edge of the forest, as if they were searching for something.

"Dipper!" Grunkle Stan yells.

Grunkle Ford also seems to be looking for me. "Dipper, where are you?!"

I crawl to the edge of the ledge. "I'm up here!" I yell down to them, crawling close to the ledge.

They look up and both sigh in relief. They must have thought I had run off for some reason. Why else would they be looking for me?

"Thank goodness. We couldn't find you in the shack and thought you might have gone somewhere," Grunkle Ford explains.

I crawl a bit closer. "I'm just watching the stars," I tell them while getting closer, only to lose my grip on the ledge.

I yell when I realize that I am falling. My clumsiness is my worst quality. I already know that falling off the roof is going to hurt severely, but I have no other choice.

I've barely started falling when I feel someone grab my hands. I look up to see that Bill has saved me once again. I feel as though that might be a recurring theme this summer.

He pulls me close and carries me down to the ground before setting me on my feet. I see my great uncles in front of me and realize how bad it is for them to see Bill.

"Careful, Pine Tree," Bill says softly while kissing my forehead gently.

Grunkle Ford draws his gun while Grunkle Stan takes out his brass knuckles. Bill doesn't seem to be phased by any of this. I know that this is not going to be pretty.
