MONO MAGE

'Mono mages' are mages that use only one type of magic. They, by far, are the most common and make up the majority of the population. Most strains of magic can only be found in mono mages.

HYBRID MAGE

'Hybrid mages' are mages that are able to control several different strains of magic. Some, like healing or summoning, is meant to be paired with another type of magic, and those users are not considered hybrid mages. Hybrid mages are afflicted with hypermagism and are able to use special combinations of regular magic types.

The magic types are as follows:

Basic Elements

-Fire: The control over burning, magma, embers, combustion, and flames.

-Water: The control over the chemical element H20, which include the gaseous, solid, and liquid states.

-Nature: Split into two basic subtypes, which is the control over fauna and control over flora. Nature mages can have only one speciality.

-Earth: Control over rocks and soil.

-Light: The control over 'light', which magical energy renders into a hot, plasma-like substance.

-Dark: Control over 'darkness', which magical energy renders into a cold liquid or solid. The control over shadows are included.

-Wind: Control over the air, which can be made sharp and strong.

-Electricity: Control over the flow of electrons, including magnetism.

-Blood: Control over blood, which can be hardened, boiled, or used to craft summons.

Heavenly Elements

-Life: Control over life itself, which manifests in the summoning of sentient beings or strong healing abilities.

-Death: Control over the dead. Can raise the deceased and communicate with them. Also works with ectoplasm.

-Order: The ability to bring 'order', which manifests as controlling the minds and bodies of others.

-Chaos: The complete control over curses and the ability to cause confusion and amnesia. Also can nullify magic and cause spells to go awry. 

-Space: Ability to generate black holes, meteors, and small orbs of burning gas.

-Time: Control over the flow of time (it should be noted time magic is a dead art that was annihilated from mortal use due to complications with the time stream continuum).

Lesser magic

(Lesser magics are weaker strains that are able to be combined with elemental magic.)

-Trap: Ability to summon binds and restraints.

-Illusion: Ability to induce hallucinations and mask oneself.

-(Item) Summoning: Ability to summon a specific item, like armor or a weapon.

-Healing: Ability to repair flesh, mend bones, and replenish blood.

Hybrid magic is an entirely different subset of magic. These types combine several different types of magic and create a very dangerous (but powerful) strain of its own. Scientists have discovered the following types:

-Storm: The combination of electricity, water, and wind. Can create and maintain storm fronts of varying sizes.

-Equilibria: The combination of order and chaos. The abilities of its composite magic types are boosted in power.

-Juxtaposition: The combination of water and fire magic.

-Biome: The combination of nature and earth. Able to control the ground, as well as the fauna and flora.
