Here are a few reminders for participants as we bring in the judging period for Round 1!

If you are confused or have questions about any part of this update, please message our co-host or drop a comment. I know this might be a lot of information, but I want to make sure that everyone understands what is happening.

✦ You must follow your judge! This is a required part of the event. Your judge is putting a lot of time and effort into reading your story and giving feedback.

✦ If there are any changes made to your username or book title, please let our co-host know immediately. If we catch changes that have not been reported to us first, then your book will be disqualified.

✦ Remember that you cannot contact judges at this time. Any attempt will lead to disqualification.

✦ If you have any questions or issues please contact our co-host BornToWrite47.

✦ IMPORTANT. Participants will be rating their judges! I will provide a link at the bottom of this page in a comment. It will forward you to a Google Form. Please be sure to submit an answer and rate your judge on a basis of the comments they left on your book. Remember, they only need to read 4 chapters and should be giving at least one comment on every chapter. If you feel that your judge has done a superb job, please rate them accordingly. If a judge did not give good advice, focus only on negative aspects of your story, gave a short or non-specific comment, or did not follow the Judging Criteria then please let that show in your rating. You are in charge of the winning judge in your category! Ratings are from 1-10.

Detailed Instructions: 

 - Click the link in the comment section to be directed to the form.

- Read the Instructions at the top.

- Scroll down to find your category (each one will be indicated with a banner). 

- Find your judge within your category. If you are entered in 2 categories, please vote for each judge in their respective categories. Some judges are in multiple categories so please only vote in YOUR category.

- Give your judge a rating.

- Reply with feedback in the "Long Answer" response box at the bottom of your category to let us know about the judge, your rating, and your experience. This doesn't need to be long.

- Scroll to the very bottom and click "Submit."

* Your judges will appreciate this! They are competing for a prize just like you so please take the time to vote.
