Hours later, just past midnight, we were gliding over the valleys of the Overgrown.

The village of Hyacinth came into view, along with House Blossom's castle. We began to fly in circles, getting ready to land, quite close to the apothecary. It would be much better to care for them there instead of the hospital, so we wouldn't disturb the citizens currently there.

"Gem?" Scott asked as we were getting closer. I was a bit surprised; he hadn't talked the entire flight.

"What?" I asked, trying to concentrate on not trampling any of the houses or trees as we landed.

"I'm not supposed to get dizzy, right?"

I whipped around to look at him, pulling a muscle in my neck. "You're getting dizzy!?" I asked frantically. He blinked rapidly a few times.

"I- I didn't say that." He said, his voice slurring for a moment, in the beginning.

I felt frantic for a moment. Blood loss. "You are a horrible liar." I said. "We're landing, hold on." I turned back around, gripping the reigns tighter. We had to get him to the apothecary. As soon as we hit the ground, I slid off the saddle and sprinted over to where Katherine was landing.

Katherine got down carefully, helping Shrub down as well, before turning towards me. "Is there a problem?" she asked.

"Scott says he's getting dizzy, we need to get him to help." I replied, a bit frantically.

Katherine's face turned grim, but she nodded. "Shrub, I'm going to need you to help everyone to the apothecary while we rush Scott there, okay?" She said. "Joey, you help."

Then she followed me to the dragon. Scott was still seating in the saddle, holding on tightly to his sister and glancing down nervously. "Let her down." I said, holding my arms up, ready to help the girl from the dragon. Scott slowly lowered her from the saddle from under her arms, and I held her in my arms. She was surprisingly light, considering her heavy dragon wings.

Scott began to clamber down, wincing as he placed his foot in the stirrup and lowered himself down. As soon as he hit the ground, frost spread from his feet, covering the grass that grew up to our ankles.

"Come on, quick." Katherine said, helping Scott towards the path ahead of everyone.

"Wha-" He started as Katherine pulled him along. "What's going on?"

"You're losing too much blood. We need to get you to the apothecary for proper treatment." The fairy answered as the white stone building came into sight.

Once we got to the building, I shoved the door open with my shoulder, letting Katherine bring Scott inside. The lights were on. "Lav? El?" Katherine called with a puzzled expression.

There were footsteps, it sounded as if they were coming from upstairs. Then, a girl came down the staircase behind the apothecary desk. She looked very similar to her other sister that was here when Katherine helped cure me. Was Ella her name? She looked as if she were in her late teens, her golden blonde hair was in a bun on top of her head, and she was wearing a pair of mud-stained denim pants. "Hey Kat- wait weren't you-" she started, but her gaze landed on Scott, and Phoenix in my arms. "Wha-"

"As you can see, we're back." Katherine said, a little out of breath from dragging Scott over here. "Since you're here, I need more of the collapsible hospital beds from upstairs, and I'll need you to get antibacterial wipes and materials to clean up wounds, give stitches and prepare a blood transfusion. Everyone's coming in here and most of them need help. Send a message to Ella too to see if she's awake and ask if she can bring the blood bags from the hospital."

"I-" the girl Katherine called 'Lav' stuttered. "Alright." She turned, sprinting back up the staircase to the second floor. Katherine quickly moved Scott over to the first bed which was directly to the left. Scott surprisingly hadn't said a word during the whole interaction. Katherine laid him down, and I saw the blood bleeding straight through the bandage on his torso, and on the bandage on his upper arm. I hadn't seen the burns before either...

I took Erin and put her down on the bed beside him, a few feet away, just as 'Lav' jogged down the stairs with a large tray filled with medical equipment. She placed it down on the bedside table next to Scott's bed.

"The beds are leaned up against the wall next to the staircase." Katherine's sister said, beginning to unwrap the bandage on Scott's torso. "What happened?" she asked, beginning to tear Scott's shirt along the hem so she could access the wound.

"Gem, can you go get the beds?" Katherine asked, pulling on a pair of latex gloves, and starting to explain the situation to her.

I nodded, heading behind the desk and ran up the stairs, opening the small door at the top. Three more, collapsible bed frames were leaned near the wall along with thin mattresses. I grabbed the frames, bringing them downstairs and beginning to set them up across from the other three.

"Gem." Katherine said, with an astonished tone to her voice. "Get over here." I stood up, jogging over to Scott's bedside. His eyes were closed, but he didn't seem to be asleep or unconscious. They had managed to pull his overcoat, and shirt off, along with his binding. Scott's wings were completely frozen solid, the feathers brittle. But that wasn't what Katherine was talking about. There was a long, thin, jagged, white scar running from his collar bone down to his stomach, directly in the center of his chest.

I stared at it for a moment, before I grabbed the crystal hanging around the elf's neck, twisting it to see the golden line through it. The scar matched perfectly to the fissure that Phoenix had put in the crystal, except for the fact it was on a larger scale on Scott's chest. "Oh my god..." I muttered, instantly remembering the prophecy Scott had brought to me months previously.

Scott's eyes opened a sliver. "What?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Later." Katherine said, giving me a look that said, 'you have some explaining to do.' "Finish setting the bed's up. They'll be here any minute."

Right as I was bringing the mattresses down a moment later, the door opened, and I saw Fwhip and Lizzie holding Joel up.

"Over here!" I said, dropping the mattresses and showing them to the bed all the way at the end.

"Jesus Christ!" Katherine's sister yelped, staring as Joel was dragged in.

"Do you got this Lavender? I need to help King Joel." Katherine said. So Lavender was her name.

Lavender gulped and nodded, beginning to stitch up the wound on Scott's torso. Fwhip and Sausage then helped me set up the other three beds, right as another person burst through the door. She was pushing a rack on wheels with pouches filled with blood, the same girl that was here when Katherine and her mother cured me.

Ella's jaw dropped, but she stayed silent, pushing the rack over to Lavender, and whispering something to her. I'm surprised the preteen kept her cool. Lavender whispered back to her, before starting to set Scott up for the blood transfusion.

The energy in the room was filled with panic and the room smelled of blood and those wipes they'd use before they gave you a shot at the doctor's office.

No one acknowledged Phoenix laying in the middle of the chaos, completely still, until Katherine began to speak to Ella. "El, I need you to run some tests on Phoenix, make sure she still has brain activity and start to care for some of her injuries. Especially the cut on her arm. Got it?"

Ella nodded a bit nervously, heading towards the girl's bed and beginning to hook her up.

I sighed, sitting down on one of the beds I had just set up. I was exhausted, and there was still an ache in my chest from where Phoenix attempted to drain me to bring Xornoth back.

"You okay?" Fwhip asked, sitting down next to me. The blood had dried on the cut on his face, and I could see a large bruise growing on his collarbone where his shirt had been ripped underneath his armor.

"I'm fine. Better off than most of us at least." I said, forcing a small smile.

"Okay." He said, although I knew I hadn't completely convinced him. He wrapped an arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer. He had been extremely overprotective and had kept me close since the ice curse. Normally it was annoying, but now I was glad he was there. I closed my eyes for a moment.

"How's Joel?" I asked.

"I don't know. He hardly spoke, which is definitely not normal for him." Fwhip said, managing to slip a small joke about the brunette in. "But I'm pretty sure he'll live. Whether that's a good or a bad thing I'm not sure." He added with a teasing smirk.

"Fwhip!" I said, swatting at his head. "That's so mean!"

"Hey!" He said, grabbing my wrist to stop me from whacking him over the head again. "Relax it was a joke. He'll be fine besides a few broken ribs."

"Hm." I said, dissatisfied with his reasoning. I glanced at the row of beds Scott, Phoenix and Joel were lying in. I'm glad we were able to stop Phoenix, even at the price of injuries. That could have gone a whole lot worse...

Yay! An update! So, I think I've decided I'll be posting a chapter every three days. So, the next chapter will hopefully be coming out on Thursday.

Also, I don't know a lot about medical stuff so this chapter may be completely wrong. I tried my best, looked up a few things, but it may not be entirely accurate. But hey, this is a fantasy world, maybe that's just how they do things here.

Besides that, let me know who your favorite character is in the comments :) Maybe I'll be able to add them in more if I know which people you like to see.
