Izuku POV:-

I open my eyes and see darkness all around me. It was a strange place. It was dark and cold. There was nothing in the place.

I walk around in the darkness but couldn't find anything. There was just darkness.

Suddenly seven glowing figure appears before me.

" Who are you? What is this place? Why did I saw you in those flashes? " I ask them.

A black tall figure comes forward. As the figure approaches me, I could see her body. She was a tall woman with black hair tied in a bun.

Suddenly, the darkness starts to fade away and reveals a beach. Not just any beach, the beach where I trained for One for All.

" We are the previous users of One for All. And I am the seventh user. It's nice to meet you ninth " the lady speaks.

" As for your second question, this place is a creation of your mind with the help of One for All " she answers.

" Am I dying right now? " I ask her.

" No. You are not dying. But you are losing your memories. You are forgetting everyone. You are forgetting how you feel about others and even about yourself. You are losing what defines you. You are forgetting yourself " she replies.

" Is there nothing I can do. Can you do something? Please " I beg her, tears rolling down my cheeks.

She pats my head.

" I am sorry but we can't do anything. This is your destiny " she replies.

" So, I won't remember anything. I am sorry Mom and Dad. I am sorry Ochako. I won't be able to remember our promises. I won't be able to remember you. I won't be able to know that I love you " I cried.

Everything disappeared and darkness again surrounded me.

' Wait! Who am I? What is this place '

I find myself standing on a bridge. I look down the bridge and see just void. Suddenly, the ends of the bridge crumble up leaving no room to escape. Cracks start to form beneath me. The floor falls apart and I start to fall down in the void. As I was falling, I see a girl jumping after me. She held out her arm to save me. But I couldn't move my body. The girl couldn't save me. I can feel the void consuming me.

' I love you '

Back in the real world:-

Ochako's POV:-

After that night Izuku was admitted in the hospital. The Midoriyas were informed of his condition. The school authorities were informed about his condition but the class was told that he had an injury on his head. No one was allowed to meet him right now.

Today the doctors called me and the Midoriyas to tell us something important. We were in the doctor's cabin. The doctor enters the room looking worried.

" Hello everyone. I needed to inform you about Izuku Midoriya's condition. We actually have two news " he speaks very tensed.

" The good news is he is physically good "

We heaved a sigh of relief.

" The bad news is all his memories are gone. And he is still in an unconscious state " he informs.

" Let me explain. In general, people having memory problem have a problem with remembering things. It is not that their memories are lost. They still have their memories. But Izuku's case is unique and different. Somehow, his brain has deleted all his memories. We don't know how it occurred. But we suspect that all this occurred due to his unstable cells. Some important neural connections of his brain related to memory must have been disturbed. But it is just a theory. In the end, he doesn't remember anything. He might not know how to talk or do simple things. So, the situation is critical " he explains.

I can't believe what I was hearing. I wanted to cry but I need to remain strong. Mrs Midoriya started to cry and Mr Midoriya also looked as if he was going to burst into tears.

" Is there nothing that can be done? " Mr Midoriya asks.

" We wanted to discuss that with you. We have many doctors with quirks related to memories. We can give him artificial memories. But to create those we need a sample memory. We can't get any memory from him but we can get it from someone else by replicating their memory. So, I was hoping if one of you could help us as he spent most of his time with you " he informs.

" I will do it. I will give him my memories " I instantly spoke.

" Are you sure? It will be very stressful for your brain and you will have to take leave from school for days. As we will be looking into your memories, it would be an invasion in your privacy. Do you still wish to volunteer? " he asks me.

" Yes, I will do it. Besides, we mostly stayed together in middle school and UA. I have most of his recent memories " I replied without hesitating.

" Thank you so much, Ochako. I want to give him my memories too but I don't have lots of memories with him due to work. And Inko would not be able to handle the stress. She is already having enough stress due to the situation " Mr Midoriya thanks me.

" No honey. I will give him my memories. Most of his childhood memories are with me. If I don't give him my memories he will not know anything about his childhood " Mrs Midoriya protests.

" Mrs Midoriya, I think Mr Midoriya is right. You are having enough stress. Besides Ms Uraraka's memories would be enough for him. He would be able to continue his studies and life normally with his recent memories. Yes, he will not remember his childhood but we will tell him that he lost his childhood memories in an accident " the doctor suggests.

" Ms Uraraka, we will need to call your parents for their approval and paperwork and we will also need to request your leave from school " he informs me.

" And before you leave, there is a bit odd thing about him we wanted to inform. Somehow his green hair turned black and his eyes colour changed to red. We don't know why that occurred but we wanted to inform you that " the doctor tells us before leaving.

Two days later:-

Ochako's POV:-

All the arrangements were done. I got permission from my parents and school.

After weeks I was finally able to see Izuku. When I entered his room I almost cried seeing his state. He wasn't even breathing and was given oxygen supply. Several tubes connected to his wrists. It felt as if he didn't have any life in his body.

" Ms Uraraka, we can now start the therapy. Remember, you are not mandatory to give all memories containing him. If you feel that there is some memory that you don't want to give due to personal reasons we will not give that memory. And we will not disclose any of your memories to anyone. And if any problem occurs like if you are feeling too much stress, please do tell us " the doctor instructs me.

I lay on the bed next to him. The team of doctors prepare for the therapy. I close my eyes and remember him.

' I will bring you back Izuku '

And I am back as always.

So, this is a heavily edited chapter. I removed all the cancer part and fading away part out of this story. After reading your comments and the review, I removed all that. It got really confusing for most of you. 

Now, it is him losing his memories. There is no scientific explanation for it. It just happens. So, don't worry much about how his memories are lost or anything. It is all science fiction and not too important to the plot.

That is the reason why this editing is taking a lot of time. I have to literally rethink and plan the whole story again to fit with all the new parts. I really hope you will understand my efforts.

Some of you were heartbroken after reading the previous chapter. For them my sincere apologies.

Now I may take my leave ( mixes chemicals and gets blown out )
