Kevin smiled down at the hand that held his, fingers intertwined, as Connor quickly led him up the hill they'd been climbing, "Are we almost there?"

"Yep!" Connor nodded.

Kevin grinned at the boy's enthusiasm.

"It's just up here." Connor nodded at the flat stretch of land above a three foot cliff, in which they stood at the bottom of.

Connor began to scramble up the side of it, attempting and failing at getting up the slippery slope.

Kevin stifled a laugh as he simply stepped up onto the platform of soft grass above, holding out the hand Connor had just been hanging on to.

Connor rolled his eyes, "Screw you and your long legs." He grinned and grabbed Kevin's hand, allowing himself to be pulled up.

Kevin hummed in amusement as he pulled Connor to his feet.

Connor stood up on the tips of his toes and planted a gentle kiss to Kevin's nose.

Kevin giggled and held both of Connor's hands before looking past him in awe. They were looking over the entirety of their town.

Connor turned around before releasing Kevin's hands and sitting down, legs hanging over the edge of the small cliff that led down a steep slope, winding down all the way into the woods that outlined the town, lit up by lights.

"Happy Fourth Of July, Con." Kevin sat down beside Connor.

Connor smiled at Kevin before laying his head down on his boyfriend's shoulder.

Kevin tilted his head to rest of top of Connor's.

They sat in silence before the first firework boomed upon the starry night that they watched.

Connor scooted closer to Kevin who wrapped an arm around Connor's waist.

"There's something in the are tonight, the stars are bright...I love you." Connor kissed Kevin's cheek.

Kevin sighed contently as they continued to watch the fireworks go off.
