Sodapop's POV:

I felt terrible for having to lie to one of Fizz's closest and only friends. He deserved to know but he's just a little kid.

I couldn't imagine being a little third or fourth grader in school, asking Steve's parents where he was and finding out he was kidnapped.

I'd be heartbroken.. Like I've lost a piece of me.

Well... I guess you can say I already have.

Fizz's POV:

That night, we were all laying in bed around five fifty-ish, me and Veronica watching Lucy closely as Danny tried to cover up the fact that he was touching her.

She looked so scared and uncomfortable, I felt horrible. I was thinking about that time Veronica said my name.. My real name.

"V-Veronica..?"

I turned around and whispered.

"What's up baby?"

She asked calmly. I faced her to see little freckles splotched all over her tan face, never really knowing how I didn't find those features before.

"Why are you so nice to me? And how do you know my real name?"

I said as quietly as possible. Her face looked down at the mattress beneath us and back up at me. She brought her hand behind her neck and took off a locket, handing it to me.

I slowly opened it, revealing a young man and woman on the inside. They both had brown hair, one was lighter than the others, and the man had these dark, precious brown orbs, while the woman had blue-ish green ones with tints of grey.

"Who are these people?"

I asked. She closed my fist around the locket and told me to hide it, and to never let Danny see it. She sighed and leaned in close, whispering in my ear.

"Those are your parents baby.."

I heard. I looked at her confused, but pulled the locket out again, looking at the couple. I examined the picture and realized they are my parents.

Darry looked just like daddy, Sodapop looked like Mommy, and me and Ponyboy were right in the middle. I looked back up at her and put it in my pocket.

"So.. Your.."

"I'm your aunt.. Elizabeth."

She whispered. My face was frozen in shock. I was pulled out of my daze though, when the doorbell rang, and then there was a light tapping on the door.

We looked over and saw Danny's face fall.

"Crap!"

He whisper yelled.

"Get up! Get up! Hurry up!"

He whisper yelled. He pulled Lucy to her feet, running to our room and grabbing us hard by our arms.

He pulled us down the stairs, almost making us trip, and pushed us down the stairs to the basement.

"Not. One. Word. If I so much as hear or see you, I will not hesitate to kill you."

He muttered. He slammed the door, shut it, and locked it, walking to the front door. We all were silent as we heard it open and a female voice echo throughout the house.

"Hey Bobby!"

The person said.
