Your POV

Waking up to the sunrise in my eyes as I have for the last month of school, I furrow my brows and sit up. Rubbing them slightly I hear the door open. Looking over to it i find Snape carrying a tray.

"Perfect timing."

Watching him walk over to me I lift my arms as I wake up slightly.

"What did you do for me to earn this?'

He chuckles as he sits in the arm chair close to the bed.

"Am I not allowed to spoil you when I want?"

Glancing at him as I smirk he raises a brow.

"Severus Tobias Snape"

His eyes widen slightly.

"What? Do you not like it?"

Holding my stare for a moment he watches me closely, before I erupt with laughter. He sighs as he shakes his head, a small smile of his own forming.

"You should have seen your face!"

"Be quiet and eat, we don't have long before class"

"Did you not want the normal breakfast today from the house elves?"

He gives a slight shrug as he looks away for a moment.

"I actually wanted to speak to you about something."

Putting the fork down as I raise a brow I look at him.

"Severus what is it?"

"I have been asked to appear before the Ministry"

Narrowing my eyes my tone changes. "Why do they want to question you now? It's been a full year since the war!"

He raises a hand. "I know, love. It's just a formality."

"A formality for what? Giving me a damn heart attack? Does Minerva know about this, what did she say?"

He moves from the chair to the bed to hold my hands in his.

"She's sure it's nothing as well"

"I can attest to that! This is ridiculous!"

There's a knock on the door and Severus speaks for them to enter. In walks Hagrid and Minerva. Shaking my head as I grit my teeth Severus stands and puts a hand on my shoulder.

"It should only be a few days, (y/n)"

Glaring at Hagrid after he speaks he looks at the floor, half shuffling behind Minerva.

"Then I'll go with him"

"You cannot, you must stay to teach."

"Someone else can take my place for the time being!"

She shakes her head. "You have to stay here, you cannot travel through the Floo network"

"Since when?"

Minerva sighs gently. "Just trust me"

Shaking my head I cross my arms as I stand there. The three watching me and each other before I nod.

"3 days, or I'm coming up there"

He nods before kissing my cheek, squeezing my hands gently before he leaves with Hagrid.

"We must get going"

Following her out of the room we make our way to the usual spots for breakfast. Not having my appetite I just sip on pumpkin juice. Staring into the liquid I chew on the inside of my lip.

In class things are quiet, my students having turned in everything that they had as homework. Standing at the head of the class, I catch a smell of Flobberworm Mucus. My brows knit together for a moment as I note the change in the smell.

"Damn, Flobberworm must have spoiled" muttering to myself

Throwing the ingredient out I make a note to have Hagrid get me more. Heading into the stores that were connected to the class I look for more. All of them having the same rotten smell, odd.

Opening another ingredient I had, the smell being less intrusive than it should be. Humming to myself I grab the rose water for the Amortentia potion. Not smelling anything hardly.

Leaving the stores in look at the class.

"Talk amongst yourselves, quietly. I'll be back shortly."

Leaving the class I make my way to the west lower floor. Walking into the infirmary I find Poppy as she looks at me. Her brows lacing with worry as she rushes to me.

"My dear, what is it?"

"Something is wrong, my ingredients don't smell the way they should, and to top it off Minerva told me I couldn't travel with the Floo Network."

"Did she tell you why?"

"Only for me to trust her."

She looks at me before she pulls me along to a curtain and I'm laying on the bed. With her waving her wand as she figures out what's wrong I feel my heart in my chest as I realize how much I want Snape with me.

"Jane!"

"Yes, head Matron?'

"Have Minerva send for Severus, at once."

She nods and runs off as I sit up, Poppy turning to look at me.

"What is it Poppy, tell me."

She sighs gently and shakes her head.

"I will when Severus returns."

Groaning I lay back on the bed and stare at the ceiling. Now what are we into, Snape?

"I demand to know what is going on!"

Hearing Snape I sit up, he spots me and comes to my side. Grabbing my hands he kneels next to me.

"Did she tell you?"

"No, she wanted you to be here too"

Poppy comes into the room before he could say anything else. Looking at her Snape stands up, breeding himself for terrible news.

"(Y/n), Severus."

"Poppy just say it"

"You're pregnant."

Jane claps excitedly and Poppy shoots her a look. Making the young nurse stop entirely.

"What?"

"Minerva must have known since she wouldn't let you on the floo network. I'm not sure how she did before you though."

Looking at Snape as his dark eyes stare ahead, I shake his arm slightly. He turns to look at me.

"Are you not happy?"

He looks at me for a moment before he smiles gently. "I'm overjoyed, love. I just wasn't expecting something good."

"That makes two of us."

He leans down to hug me and I smile gently. Enjoying his smell, as it hasn't changed with the recent development. Holding him close he hums gently before he kisses my forehead.

"I believe she's a couple of months along."

Furrowing my brows I hum.

"A couple months?'

She nods. "Sometimes you don't have the morning sickness, until late in the pregnancy, others it's the entire time."

Nodding I look at my hands. "2 months pregnant."

Snape puts his hands on mine as he sits with me. His hand on my stomach after a second. Poppy leaves the room and I look at him.

"2 months"

"Was that?-"

"Before we left Spinner's End, yes."
