Y/n's POV

After everything that had happened the last couple days, I seriously needed a break. Heading up to my room, I change into something more comfortable (clothes below). I slip under my covers, sinking into the mattress. I let out a sigh of relief, letting sleep overtake me. But I wasn't ready for the nightmares...

It was the same one I always had.

"NO!!! LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!" I force my way through the Galra, but I didn't make it in time. A gunshot and Shiro's eyes gaze empty up at the ceiling. "NO!!"

"Y/n!" I look to my left. It was Pidge. She looked at me with tear-filled eyes.

"Pidge!" I shoulder my way through. Another gunshot. Another friend lost.

"Y/n!"

"Y/n, help!" Hunk and Lance this time. And as before, the same result. Allura and Coran followed after. Finally, I spot Keith. He looks at me with sad, but loving eyes.

"No..." I cry.

"Y/n, it'll be okay." He says as a Galran lifts his gun to his head. "I love you."

"NO!" I cry as Keith falls to the ground. I sank to the floor, sobbing. "Keith..no..."

Orange's POV

Something was wrong. I could feel it. I had to get to Y/n. But how? I was in my hangar and she was in her room. There had to be a way.

A lightbulb goes off in my mind. An old legend, told to me by Black. Is it possible? Could it really work? Black said a Lion could to it only if their Paladin was in great need. I had to do it. I had to get to Y/n.

'Come on, Orange! You can do it!' I think to myself. I focus all my energy on transforming. A weird buzzing sound fills my ears and a bright light flashes. The world stops moving and I open my eyes. Everything was smaller, and my armor still stood in place, exactly where I left it. I look down at my paw, finding it covered in fur. I had done it. I had become my Peltson. Now to get to Y/n.

Sneaking out of my hangar, I gallop down the hall. I could hear Blue's and Red's Paladins fighting again, but I steered clear, hoping to avoid eye contact. I come upon Green's Paladin. She had her back turned to me, focused on her device. I sneak around her and into the room halls. I reach Y/n's room and open the door. It was dark inside, but my fur glows orange with energy as I walk over to the bed. My Paladin was asleep, eyes closed tight. She was twitching slightly, having a nightmare. I remember her telling me about the nightmares. Only Red's Paladin knew about them.

I carefully climb into the bed, easing my way to lay against her back. I take my front paw and wrap it around Y/n, pulling her close.

"It's okay, Y/n. I'm here now." I purr. The girl seems to relax slightly. I purr harder as her eyes start to open.

Y/n's POV

Something was pressed against me. Something big and warm. It had pulled me out of my nightmare, making me feel safe. I find a big paw draped across me, holding me close. I look up to see two vibrant green eyes staring back at me.

The lioness was bright orange, with a white underbelly and a pair of blue and green lines around her neck. I didn't think it was, but could it?

"Orange?" I ask. The Lioness purrs and rubs against me. I giggle, completely dumbfounded. "No way. How the heck did you do this?" I ask, rubbing her head. She only purrs in answer, licking my other hand.

I smile, laying down again. Orange curls around me, purring. Her warmth eases me back into sleep. And guess what? No nightmares.
