My eyes set into a glare as I saw Kylie and Trevor kissing. I could see Tara and Piper looking at me. 'Play it cool' Tara mouthed. I sighed. I guess this how I got in this mess. When I was trying to 'play it cool'. But the truth is... I'm not the slightest bit cool.

"Hey are you okay?" Ellie asked looking at me worriedly. I took a deep breath and nodded. I guess this is playing it cool. Ellie smiled and reapplied her lip gloss. "Good." 

We all started rehearsing for the school Talent Show. I stood there feeling pathetic. These girls were way cooler than me. I don't belong here. "What's up with you, Lils? You seem totally out of it." Trevor said. I shrugged. Then looked at him.

I didn't feel the usual butterflies around Trevor. What's wrong with me? I've had a crush on Trevor for the longest time but it's just gone now... Kylie touched my arm. "You good?" She asked with a fake smile. My breath hitched in my throat. What the hell? Not trusting my voice I just nodded with a lopsided, shy smile.

"Lily, I'm starting to get worried about you." Tara said. "What do you mean?" I asked confused. "Well... You seem like you... Kind of... Have a crush on Kylie..." Tara said slowly. "What? No! Eww! She's a TOTAL BITCH! How... How dare you even... Think that!" I yelled down the phone. "Your voice is laced with denial." Piper whispered surprised by my outburst. "IN DENIAL? WHAT? I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU! YOU... YOU... URGH!" I yelled hanging up the phone.

I started pacing in my room. Why would my friends even think that? I mean I hated, no despised Kylie. Right? 

Plus I'm straight. So straight. Never have I thought of a girl as more than a friend. I mean there was that one time when I kissed a girl. But that was the heat of the moment. I mean sure, I was sober but that doesn't mean anything. 

And my heart does this weird thing when I see Kylie. Man, she probably gave me some heart disease... Yeah... I mean my knees also buckle but that's nothing. Right? Well, and yes my stomach feels weird around her. But that bitch probably just gave me a stomach disease too.
