Lianna just left the sixth gym leader, Ashley. She was talking/thinking to herself. "Should I try training Caterpie, Nidoran and Goldeen?" Lianna asked herself. She was suddenly interrupted by a familiar foe. "Hello." Lianna's main enemy, Corren said to her. "Oh no! Not you again!" Lianna said, very annoyed. "I see you got a few badges now." Corren explained. "Yes. I just got my sixth gym badge." Lianna explained. "Battle me." Corren demanded. "Okay... I will battle you..." Lianna said nervously, gulping. Corren sends out Gyarados. "Gyarados. I don't have any Electric Types.. Go Meganium!" Lianna called and sent out Meganium. "Meganium!" Meganium called happily. Gyarados used Flamethrower, which surprised Lianna. 

She quickly returned Meganium and sent out Pidgeot. Pidgeot used a classic Brave Bird and Peck combo. Gyarados dodges out of the way, and Pidgeot uses gust at him. Gyarados uses Flamethrower and Pidgeot uses gust to push back the flamethrower. Gyarados uses Flamethrower back to back and Pidgeot tries to use gust against Gyarados. Gyarados uses Hydro Pump on Pidgeot. Pidgeot fortunately flies upwards and then nosedives while using Peck and Brave Bird. Gyarados dodges again. Pidgeot uses Roost to help heal himself and Gyarados roars in anger. Lianna was shocked when Gyarados roared out loud. Gyarados uses Ice Beam and Pidgeot flies upwards and out of the way. Gyarados then hits Pidgeot's wing with Ice Beam. Pidgeot yelps and falls down. Lianna returns Pidgeot and sends out Misdreavus.  

Misdreavus starts out by sending out a storm of Shadow Balls. Gyarados repels the Shadow Balls back at Misdreavus. Misdreavus uses Hypnosis and Gyarados dodges by going underwater. Misdreavus then dived under the water as well and tries to hit Gyarados with hypnosis. Gyarados then falls asleep and Misdreavus uses another storm of Shadow Balls and Hex at Gyarados. Corren uses a special pill on Gyarados, who he wakes up and dodges. "A pill?" Lianna asked as Misdreavus uses Hypnosis again. Gyarados was immune and he roared loudly. Misdreavus was shocked and used Perish Song and then Shadow Ball. Gyarados was immune to the attack, and then used Ice Beam. 

Lianna then returned Misdreavus, sent out Pidgeot and escaped the battle. "I cannot fight any longer.. Gyarados is too strong..." Lianna said as they flew through the skies. They would soon encounter a village where Lianna would get her next gym badge.
