Lianna arrived at Lt.Surge's gym, where he was waiting. "Hey Lt.Surge! I challenge you to a rematch!" Lianna demanded. Unfortunately, Lt.Surge happened to be asleep. Lianna poked him gently. "Hey! What are you doing? Get away from him!" A voice called out. "Huh?" Lianna asked. A trainer from behind was there. "Why are you touching Surge like that?! Don't you know that's rude?" The trainer asked. "Sorry... I just want to wake him up for a rematch. "Still, but it's not nice to like someone. There are other ways of getting one's attention." The trainer said. "Sorry..." Lianna said, looking at Lt. Surge. "Excuse me?" Lianna asked. "Huh? Who's that?" He asked. "Can I challenge you to a rematch?" Lianna asked. "Oh. Of course. But who are you again?" He asked her. "Lianna the Bunny. I challenged you the other day and I lost..." Lianna explained. "Ah yes, that one. In that case, whenever you're ready." He said.

Lianna went to her side of the battle field and prepared herself. She sent out Diglett, or so she thought. "You ready?" She asked. Lt.Surge sent out Voltorb. "Dig!" Lianna commanded. There was no Diglett in sight. "It's best you send it out first." He said. "But I sent him out!" Lianna cried out, actually sending him out. Diglett looked nervous about the Gym Battle. "Don't worry..." Lianna said to him. Diglett dug a hole. "Voltorb, use Magnet Rise!" Lt.Surge commanded. Voltorb used it. "Oh no!" Lianna cried out. Diglett used Dig but it failed. Lianna scanned him. He knew Scratch, Growl, Dig and Mud Slap. "Scratch!" Lianna commanded. Diglett did so and hit Voltorb, who took some damage. "Good job!" Lianna complimented. "Diglett." He said. "Sonicboom." Lt.Surge said. Voltorb used it.

"Dodge it! " Lianna cried out. Diglett tried to but it got hit and took damage. "Scratch again!" Lianna commanded. Diglett used Scratch and did a bit more damage to Voltorb. "Good! Get ready to dodge!" Lianna called out. Diglett tried to dig but he couldn't dig. "Huh? What is going on?" Lianna asked. Diglett couldn't move. "Use Hidden Power!" Lt.Surge commanded, Voltorb used it and fainted Diglett. "Woah woah woah! Explain to me, what happened?" Lianna asked. "Using Magnet Rise stops Ground Type moves, but it made a way so that Diglett could never move when I use Magnet Rise." He explained.

Lianna grumbled and returned Diglett and sent out Charmeleon. "I evolved him while training." Lianna said as Diglett was returned and Charmeleon came out. "Dragon Rage!" Lianna commanded. Charmeleon used it and defeated Voltorb. "Yes!" Lianna called out happily. "Not bad kid, but just like last time." He said, returning Voltorb and sending out Magnemite. "Ember!" Lianna commanded, Charmeleon used it and fainted Magnemite in one hit. "Yes! Way to go, Charmeleon!" Lianna called out. Charmeleon roared. "We have one more Pokémon left, I think it's Raichu..." Lianna said. Lt.Surge threw a Pokéball after returning Magnemite.

Raichu came out. "Dragon Rage!" Lianna called out. "Use Thunderbolt!" Lt.Surge commanded and both moves hit and clashed with one another. "Ember!" Lianna called out. Charmeleon used it. "Dodge it!" Lt.Surge called out and Raichu avoided the attack. "Metal Claw!" Lianna commanded, which Charmeleon used and it did little damage to Raichu. "Use Quick Attack!" Lt.Surge ordered and Raichu hit Charmeleon. "Dragon Rage!" Lianna commanded. Charmeleon did so and damaged Raichu. "Raichu, use Surf!" Lt. Surge commanded and Raichu summoned a huge wave of water.

"Dodge it, Quick!" Lianna called out. Charmeleon tried to avoid it, but the wave was too big. Charmeleon fainted. "No!" Lianna cried out and returned him. "Didn't see that coming, didn't ya? It's what I used to counter Ground Types. So what's your last Pokémon, miss bunny rabbit?" He asked. Lianna was thinking to herself. "Okay... I have Mamoswine and Eevee... Mamoswine has the type advantage, but could lose to Surf, Eevee is more neutral based..." Lianna thought to herself. A flashback came to her.

Flashback...

"You should use Mamoswine." Fukua suggested. "Yeah, that's a good idea." Kevin replied. "Hey, yeah!" Filia agreed. "A ground type would be perfect." Brenda said.

End of Flashback.

Eevee was walking with a limp. Lianna then made up her mind. "GO! MAMOSWINE!" Lianna called out, sending him out. "EARTHQUAKE!" Lianna called out. Mamoswine came out and used it. Raichu took a massive amount of damage. "Raichu, use Surf!" Lt.Surge called out, Raichu does so and summons a giant wave. "BLIZZARD!" Lianna commanded and Mamoswine used Blizzard on the surf to freeze the wave. "Use Iron Tail!" Lt.Surge commanded. Raichu used it and destroyed the frozen wave. "FISSURE!" Lianna shouted. "Magnet Rise!" Lt. Surge ordered. Both of them used their moves but Fissure hit first and knocked out Raichu, earning Lianna the victory. "YES! YES! WE WON! WE WON!" Lianna called out. Mamoswine smiled in joy.

Lianna hugged him. "Well done bunny rabbit, you beat me and to prove it." He said, handing her a badge. "Here's your badge." He said. "Yes! Thank you!" Lianna called out, taking a selfie of her holding the badge next to Mamoswine. The Pokénav took the photo. "Ready Eevee for a high five?" Lianna asked. Eevee jumped and gave her a hi five.

Lianna saluted to Lt.Surge. "See you, Sergeant!" Lianna called out. Lt.Surge laughed and saluted back. "See ya kid!" He said with a smile. Lianna headed back to the Pokémon Center to heal up, soon to begin a quest to Mt.Moon.
