Ace was being carried in Evies arms. He didn't know why but he felt really tired even though he took a brief nap in the trunk of the limousine. "Evie I'm tired" he whines playing with a piece of Evies hair. "I know sweetie I know" she said in a soothing tone of voice that made Ace even more tired.

The three VKs had entered the slop shop that was run by the goblins who served Maleficent before being banished."Your Majesty" a voice said. Ace turned from Evies shoulder and saw one of his mothers card soldiers. "What are you doing here young prince I thought that you would be in Auradon" the card soldier said shocked to see him. "We decided to come back for a visit" Carlos said. "Well you lot certainly picked a bad time everything's changed since you three maleficents Daughter and Jafars Son beat maleficent" he said.

"How" Ace asked. "Well when Maleficent was defeated the entire isle went mad and not in the good way" the card soldier said as he and the others sat down. "It appears the mistress of evil provided stability for the island without her the isle devolved further into chaos" the card soldier said. "And we've noticed there's been more goblins about" Evie said as she rubbed Aces back. "Yes after the coronation there was a set limit of how many goblins could work on the barges that came to and from Auradon a lot of goblins were put out of work" he said looking sympathetic to a group of goblins sitting by themselves.

"Do you know where mine and Evies mom is along with Jafar and The Queen of Hearts" Carlos asked."unfortunately no the Queen never involves or tells us anything she just tells us what to do and we serve" he said proudly. "Why do you serve though" Evie asked. "we are loyal to the royal family of Wonderland the queen the king and of course the young prince" he said motioning to Ace who looked close to passing out.

"Oh Dear I say it's past the princes bedtime" he said. "Yes it certainly seems like it" Evie said smiling down at Ace. "if you want ill take him back to his father and home and you can pick him up when you can" the card soldier offered. "well I suppose that sounds fine" she said handing Ace over to the card soldier. "im sure you know how to get there" the card soldier said. both VKs nodded and Ace and the card soldier left the slop. as the got closer to the Queen of Hearts salon and Aces home he tried to fight off the sleep some more eager to see his father who he hadn't seen in a very long time. as they entered Ace was able to make out "d-daddy" he said softly. "your father is out at the moment young prince now lets get you to bed" the soldier said as he took Ace up the stairs and tucked him into his bed. all Ace thought about as he got to sleep was did daddy miss me he thought as eventually sleep overcame him and fell asleep thinking of what's going to happen when he wakes up.
