Cyborg was at his computer, alongside Rex, in order to see if there is any suspicious activity from the outside. So far, not any supernatural activity have been seen yet. It is a bit strange, since there are usually something off going on from outside. But another thing that they are doing is to make sure that there are no signs of the SCP Foundation that is near where the base is. There have been some members of the foundation, but none were near where the Newborns are at now. But Rex isn't complaining, ever. In fact, he relieved that nothing bad is happening.

"Still...I hope that my brother is still okay from the Foundation."

When he looked down, Cyborg spoke out.

"You, Rex. We need to keep on looking. We don't want to kiss a spot on where these Foundation Goons are at, right?"

Rex nodded, as he spoke out.

"Right. Sorry. I was just thinking of something."

Cyborg could already tell what he is thinking of, since he can access machines, even the Nanites inside of Rex's body. But he decide to not call him out on that, just to avoid a really sudden freakout from Rex. Speaking of Rex, the Omega E.V.O than began to use the satellite in order to find out if there are any Foundation MTFs that are being spotted near New York. Thankfully, none of them are in the Red Zone. But they need to make Asura, just in case that something like this ever happens. They just don't want to make any mistakes. A very simply one could lead to a very disastrous consequence for them. So they need to be extremely careful in their progress.

As they than looked even further, Rex than spoke out.

"Umm...Victor?"

Cyborg looked at Rex, and spoke out.

"What is it?"

Rex sighed a little bit. He knows that this is sensitive, but he needs to know something.

"I know I shouldn't dive into a personal matter of yours...but I was wondering, how did you become the way you are to this day?"

Cyborg turned a little bit, as he spoke out, sadly.

"It is...a long story."

Rex, however, spoke out.

"I'll listen. I'm patient."

Cyborg looked, and than sighed. He than spoke out.

"I was originally a Football player. My father is a person that works hard, and has difficulty trying to be with me, due to the people he works with giving him so much stuff. My mother...on the other hand, tries to be with me the best she can with me, something that I am grateful for completely. But one day...it all changed. An accident caused my mother to die, and me...I was reduced to nothing but a torso, head, and had only half my arms intact. My elbows, and the rest of my body...destroyed. My father was able to find an item. It resembles an amorphous mechanical item. It moves like waves of water...but the pulse it makes...it was like a heartbeat, and it also felt...old. Like it was over 1,000,000. And the way it rebuild my body...it was unbearable. Like my body was about to be torn apart by whatever this item is. But even though my body is back again in a mechanical body...I still will never forgive my father for what he has done. So it took the strange thing with me...and hid it in my new home. No one will be able to find where it is, use it, or anything else to weaponize whatever that thing even is."

Rex looked at him in pity, as he spoke out.

"That's terrible. No one should have someone such as this."

Victor nodded, as he spoke out.

"Yeah...nobody should have. I just wish I could be back as myself again, and that I could have my mother back with me in my life once again."

Rex looked down, sad about what he said, when suddenly...

"Something's not right."

Rex than heard Victor speaks out suddenly. He looks, and saw staring intently at the screen that they are on.

"What's wrong?"

Rex spoke out. Cyborg than spoke out.

"There are some signals blocking some of the operations we have been working on. And they seem to be coming from multiple areas. One of them is from somewhere in between Seattle and Oregon. And the other...it's somewhere in space."

Rex shuddered, as he spoke out.

"Why do I feel like that there's some bad going to happen in space?"

Victor than stood up, as he spoke to Rex.

"We need to see what's causing those signals. We'll start with the first one. Rex, come with me."

Rex nodded, as he spoke out.

"Okay. Hopefully Alex doesn't have his gears grinding when he find out we're gone."

He made this joke, before he walks with Cyborg to see what it that's outside. As this happens, however, if they had stayed at the screen, they would have heard the sounds of gears faintly grinding, in the area that they are about to visit.

Timeskip...about 15 minutes later...

Rex and Cyborg are now outside, and are flying to determine the source of the signal that is being made.

They are going as fast as they can to try and find where it is. Thankfully, Cyborg was able to copy the data into his mind, and is now able to locate where it's resonating from.

"Okay, we should be near to by about 10 minutes. Hopefully, it isn't hidden. If any enemies come, I need you to be ready and take out your weapons."

Cyborg spoke to Rex, who than is making his Slam Cannon. Cyborg facepalmed a bit, and spoke out.

"I don't mean now, Rex. Maybe later."

Rex looked at Cyborg, and felt a bit embarrassed, before putting the Slam Cannon away. Cyborg than looked, and began to realize that they're close.

"Okay, we should slow down. We are about to arrive."

Rex than did as he is told, and began to slow down a little bit. Than...they looked down, as they saw that the signal is coming from the ground. They landed...and saw that where ever the signal is...it's coming from this strange wall of metal. Victor than turned to Rex, who than spoke out.

"What? Don't look at me. You try, Victor."

Cyborg looks away, as if to say 'whatever,' before making a White Noise Cannon.

He than aimed and shoots the door. The result. It only dented the metal wall slightly. Cyborg than looked at Rex, who than sighed.

"Okay, fine."

He than goes to the wall, activates the Punk Busters, and than hits the wall with a thruster kick.

BOOM!!!!!!!!!!

The metal collapsed, it than revealed that there is the sound of gears grinding against each other. This caught their attention, as they looked...and saw that the source is about to be revealed now. When the smoke has cleared...

When Cyborg and Rex find out what caused the strange signal to go haywire...it felt a little bit...strange. It looks like a bundle of gears and mechanisms.

And it was moving. It didn't move before they arrived. But when they suddenly arrived in it's presence, it began to move.

As they looked...Cyborg's 'eye', that's on his forehead, than began to glow a lighter blue than before. Rex's body began to be covered in blue circuitry. The gears themselves...they began to glow blue as well, and are becoming more shiny now.

"Cyborg, why is your 'eye' glowing brother?"

Rex spoke out, as he points at the eye glowing. Cyborg was surprised. To make it clear, Rex made the Big Fat Sword, and used the reflection to show what he means by that. And he's right.

"What? I'm not even near a computer. Why is it glowing more brighter than before? In fact, this thing has never happened before."

Even Cyborg has no idea what is happening. He just knows that whatever it is...it is affecting him in a way.

"This feeling...it is just so...familiar. Similar to when I was first becoming a robot, only...it is less painful, and more...comforting."

As he spoke out, a portal than opened up from behind both Rex and Cyborg. They than turned, only to see people in strange robes, as they go and collect the piece of the gears.

"What in the world? What is happening.

Rex than spoke out. The moment when he said that, a voice than suddenly spoke out.

"You...you carry the essence of lord Mekhane."

They turned, and saw what seems to be a man, which a robotic left arm. He is holding what appears to be a staff of some sort. He is looking at the group with unnatural blue eyes, almost similar to Victor's 'eye'. He also has a symbol on his coat.

Rex recognized it, as he spoke out.

"You...you're from the Church of the Broken God!"

The member of the church nodded, as he spoke out, calmly.

"Come with me."

He than used a device, make a portal, before going in. Rex and Victor than both looked at each other, unsure of what to think, before following the member of the Mekhanites. When they went through, the portal than closed up, and than blink, out of existence. This is getting very bizarre. And The Gears...
