Alex's POV (surprise surprise):

"Jackson where are you?" I ask on my phone as I walk out the airport with my bag, its making really chilly although I'm in my sweater.

"I'll be there in ten minutes, you can wait in the waiting area or you can go get coffee by the coffee shop", he suggests.

"Fine", I grumble and hang up.

Today is boys hang out, but I really want to hang out with Vanessa she's cool and a good friend I'm happy Axel is covering for me.

I walk into a coffee shop and order a coffee then sit and wait for Jackson. I'll be staying at Vanessa's till around 12 then go to meet the guys.

I got a text from my brother.

Bro: You reach yet?

Me: Yep just waiting on Jack, how's things at home?

Bro: Fine just make sure you reach back home by tomorrow evening

Me: I already have a flight for tomorrow morning 9:00 am sharp so I'll be home by 1:00 pm.

Bro: Hopefully, well I got some work to finish here, text you when I'm finish

Me: Cool

I see a brunette hair girl enter with a blonde hair girl, they are talking and the brunette hair girl catches my eyes.

She smiles and comes over to me, "hi what's your name?" She asks.

"Alex and you are?"

"Bianca and that's my friend Heidi", she points at the blonde hair girl.

Wait that Heidi the girl who been obsess with Jake last year? And Bianca Logan's ex?

"Oh well I got to go", I say seeing Jackson's car pull up.

"Wait, can I get your number?" She stops me.

"Um I go to Yale so I don't think we'll work out,"

"Yale? Do you know Jake or Vanessa by any chance?"

"I'm a sophomore and I have lots of friends so maybe, not sure", I shrug.

"Oh well if you see Jake on the team tell him Bianca and Heidi said hello", she smiles.

"Okay."

I got in the car and hand Jackson ten bucks.

"You don't have to pay me I'm loaded", he chuckles,"and so are you."

I roll my eyes.

"You're here", Vanessa smiles when she opens the front door, she's in a sweatpants and baggy shirt.

"Of course I am", I smile and walk in then close the door.

"Archer is upstairs and my mom is out with Paul, but she made cookies especially for you", she smiles and I hug her.

"I'll like to thank her", I say.

"When she comes back I'll tell her, you can put your bag in my room if you like", she suggests.

"If you wanted me to stay all you have to is ask", I wink and she shakes her head.

"I would have ask long time, I'm going to make hot coco want some?"

"Sure and which room is yours?" I ask.

"Third door, the bathroom is the door before mines and Archer is in the door closest to the stairs", she explains.

I walk up the stairs and hear music coming from the first room, I knock.

Archer opens it, his hair is messy and his eyes looks like he just woke up. He's in a sweatpants and shirtless.

"Aren't you cold?"

"Nope this blanket is so warm, what you're doing here?" He asks looking at my bag.

"Just passing through Jack is coming for me in like four hours so I came to see Vanessa", I smile.

"Is she looking sad or anything?"

I shake my head.

"why?"

"I thought she told you what happened when she came home on Saturday?", he frowns.

"Tell me what?"

"That Jake is going to a function tomorrow, but has to accompany this rich bitch who kissed him in September for his parents anniversary", he explains.

"I remembered that, Linda I think is her name."

"Yep, but he isn't again he has to take Michelle instead", he hisses.

"Poor Vanessa, well its better than taking someone you don't know right?" I chuckle.

"Yeah, but Vanessa has a plan Jackson told me all about it", he grins.

"What?"

"She's going to take Michelle place and go to the function."

"Are you sure its going to work?"

"With an extreme make over, no doubt but Michelle's brothers would keep an eye if she wants to leave early", he explains.

"When is she leaving?"

"Tomorrow morning so she and Michelle can shop for a dress and stuff, I'll be hanging at Kevin's house then sleeping over at Jackson's tomorrow night", he explains.

"I'm leaving at 9 tomorrow if my flight gets delay Jackson says I can crash at his place."

"Cool."

"Alex hot coco and cookies are ready!" Vanessa shouts.

I leave my bag in the room and went back down the stairs.

"Thanks", I smile and take my plate and cup.

"I'm going to finish watch vampire dairies, wanna join me?"

"I don't see why not", I shrug and go to the living room with her.

"Have you text Jake since?" I ask.

She sighs and shakes her head,"I don't have anything to say to him."

"If you want I can punch him when I see him", I grin.

"Thanks, but I think his precious face is way too valuable", she gives me a sad smile.

Someone knocks on the door and I went to open it.

"Hey Alex", Dianne smiles.

"Hey", I let her in.

"Girl you're watching vampire diaries without me and with him?" She points at me,"you replace me", she pretends to sound hurt.

"Di no one can replace you okay, you're my best girl friend forever", Vanessa hugs her and smiles.

"Well I am awesome", she flicks her chestnut hair.

(A/N: If you didn't know or can't remember Dianne's has chestnut hair and blue- green eyes)

"That you are, want some cookies?" Vanessa offers her my plate.

"Hey that's my plate", I say.

"Not anymore", Dianne smiles and stuff her face.

I grumble and went back to the kitchen.

Jake's POV:

Tomorrow is the function, I'm so nervous I don't want to lose Vanessa not now I already did once.

I don't want to take Michelle she's my buddy's ex well is either her or Linda and I don't want to be anywhere here Linda.

"Jake, dad wants to talk to you, he's in the garage", Jared says.

I pause my video game and walk down the stairs, then go to the garage.

"Yes?"

"I know you're upset, but you got no choice this is beneficial for the expand of our family business once your grandfather retires", he begins.

"I know, but once I don't have to marry anyone to link our family business I'll go to business functions as much as possible."

"That's good, but what your grandfather wants is to have a strong bond with the Clark industry so when you have to make deals it wouldn't be a problem", he explains.

"You want me to go on dates with Linda?"

"No, but once you take over the business you'll be linking with her to make deals and trades between the two businesses over dinner or lunch meetings", he explains.

"What if grandpa wants me to date her?"

"It wouldn't happen and we'll keep the camera away from you when you go to public but with photo shoots and interviews it must happen to keep a good reputation,"

I sigh, I hope Vanessa don't get the wrong idea when I start to have lunch meetings with Linda.

"Is that all?"

"Yes,  next year your mother wants you to get an apartment not far from campus of course and also one with a roommate so rent would be even."

"Can Vanessa be my roommate?"

"We'll discuss this topic during summer don't stress about that, stress about tomorrow", dad smiles.

I roll my eyes and leaves.

I don't mind moving to an apartment, at least it would be quiet and no seeing Quinn once class is over on evenings.

I have to talk to Vanessa about this soon.

I wonder if she and Archer planning on getting a two bedroom apartment? I heard they were talking about it over the summer, but I thought they were joking, they sound like they were.

Just have to find out.
