10 years later.

Third person's POV.
His eyes stopped on the tiny raindrops which started to fall on the earth drenching it. His eyes were witnessing its speed which was increasing second by second.  He felt those raindrops falling on his heart bringing all those emotions back to his eyes in the form of tears. On the curtains of memories a face appeared and he closed his eyes as the pain increased in his heart.

"Where are you?" With closed eyes his heart called.

Looking out at the rain which was falling in the pool, he found him standing there where he saw her first time. Turning, he took his jacket and rushed out of his house.

"Bring the car." He stopped on the porch and said to the driver who ran to bring car on his order.

Looking up at the sky which was covered with darkness and clouds, he found his heart beat increased.  As the car stopped in front of him, he got in and the car drove out of the house.

"Where to sir?" Asked the driver but he was lost in looking out.

After the drive of 25 minutes, he uttered the word "Stop."

And the car stopped. Unlocking the door he opened it and went out without caring of rain.

"Sir take the umbrella." The driver came out with the umbrella but he didn't listen to him.

"You stay here." Saying he start taking slow steps on this huge road which was so empty at this midnight and heavy rain was filling the roads with water but he didn't care for anything.

He kept walking in this rain to reach the same spot where his life started and ended too.  After the walk of 5 minutes, his feet took pace and he started to run like he used to run back there to reach the bus stop. Not caring of anything he was running like his life depends on.

********************************

Looking out of the car she was trying to stop her tears. All the memories were knocking on her mind taking her back to those days which were her all life.

"Api why you came out at this time? I mean where are we going?" Her brother asked while driving carefully but she didn't replied.

"Stop here." She said and he stopped the car while his eyes turned to looked at his sister.

"You wait here.  I'm coming." She said and was about to open the door but holding her hand her brother stopped her.

"Don't tell me you're going to that place again?" Her btother asked still holding her wrist.

But she didn't reply. She just kept looking out at the rain where she once lost her heart back there.

"Maybe I could see him there. Waiting for me." She said lost in her own thoughts.

"Its bren 10 years Api. There is no possibility to see him again. Why are you still standing there waiting to meet him?" Her brother asked again.

"Just want to wait for him like i know he waited for me that night but i couldn't go to meet him." She said with tears.

"Those nights where we were silent companions of each other, were the best memories i have. I promised him that i will come to meet but didn't .  I broke my promise because I was scared. Now i just want to go there after so many years to feel that loneliness that he had felt that night." She said and turned to see her brother who was so grown up in all these years.

For him she did all the works late night shifts and what not and he was there in front of her with his success.

"I will come with you." Her brother said but she shook her head as no.

"I will go by myself. You just wait here." She said and stepped out of the car and start taking slow steps toward the bus stop which was few steps far.

Taking slow steps drenching completely in the rain she was not caring of anything but her eyes were fixed on the stop which was just few steps far from her.  Her tears were felling down along with rain drops and she was remembering all those nights which she spent with him.

Stopping in front of the bench he used to sit she just kept looking at its empty seat when a voice made her heart to stop at that moment.

"So you came." His voice broke the silence and noise of rain.

********************************

He was running without caring of the heavy rain which was drenching him completely.  He just wanted to reach that bus stop as soon as he could. His heart wss beating differently today. He was again feeling those strange feeling which he felt ten years ago.  For that girl who met him in this rain and then disappeared leaving him in her fragrance.

As he reached the bus stop his eyes landed on the person standing in the bus dtop. His heart beat increased while feet took pace to reach her. It was her he knew. He recognised her.

"So you came." On his voice, she turned with a jolt and looked at him who was completely drenched in the rain.

In blue jeans, the white shirt was completely wet and also the jacket. His wet hair stick to his forehead eyes were trying to keep looking at her but the raindrops were making them close. Her eyes refused to look away. It was him. She recognised him. He was just like old days.

Her eyes filled up with tears and slowly he took steps ahead forming a smile on his lips and pushing the tears back. Stopping under the bus stop, he just couldn't took the courage to cross these few feet distance left between them. Their eyes kept lost in each other while heart beat was increased.

"Nigah."

"Ahad."

Both took each other's name at the same time. She smiled while a tear left her eyes and he smiled tried to stop his tears.

"You remembered?"

Again both asked the same question at the same time. Both looked at each other and this time both just let the tears to run out of their eyes.

"Where were you?" He asked restlessly taking a step toward her.

"You waited?" She asked taking a step closer.

"Everyday." He replied taking another step.

"You were lost." A tiny tear left his eyes as he said.

"I made myself lost." She said taking a step more closer to him.

"Why? Was I not important to tell?" He asked stopping on his place.

She looked at him who was now  waiting for her to end the distance left between them. The clouds of rain, the touch of wind, and the lightning flash everything seemed stopped for a second. As if they were waiting for her reply. These dark night, the heavy rains these strong wind and those lightening flashes were their companion and also the witness of their meeting of their love and their wait. That moments when he was waiting for her reply everything seemed stopped and she felt her own heart too.

"You were important. And..." She said and paused.

Rain, thunder and wind stopped their breath at that moments to hear what she had to say. Was she going to say what was actually between them in all these years.

"And?" He asked taking a step toward her.

"And you're important. I just couldn't tell at that time." She stopped on her place and let him cover the distance.

"I was a waitress in a club. I had a lot of jobs to do in a day so that we can survive. For my siblings and my sick mother I did all jobs but I couldn't tell you all this. A servant girl couldn't be your dream girl so I just..left the city." She said shedding tears silently.

"10 years I tried to forget you but.." She just stopped and he stopped in front of her.

"But I'm still standing at the moment when you told me your name. I'm still caged in your these hypnotic eyes which took everything from me. I waited and waited for you and finally you came." He said and she smiled.

"If you were a servant back there  I was not the king that you got scared. Why didn't you come that night?" He asked stopping in front of her.

Their eyes were lost in looking at each other. Her dupatta was moving with the strong wind.

"My mother passed away that day." Her words made him realise a breath and held her hand.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't be there at tgat time." His words gave a smile to her.

"Miss Nigah." Kneeling down on his one knee, he kept holding her hand and looked at her who was shocked on his act.

"Be Mine. Forever." His simple few words just brought a wide smile on her lips.

"Will you?" He asked again and she gave a nod with tears running out of her eyes but smile never leave her lips.

"Happily." She said and he kissed her hand as he stood up with a smile and as both took a step ahead their eyes went to her brother and the driver who were standing in the rain looking at both of them with a smile.

"Sir." Running to him the driver passed him the umbrella which he held and put it on them.

Her brother smiled and took steps ahead with them. The rain, the wind and the thunders smiled on their union. Because they were the witness of their first meeting, their wait and now they witness their beautiful union.

The End.
