Just so I don't have to cut into the story to write this note, here it is instead of getting in your way. I know, thoughtful right? Just kidding. Seriously, though, here's what this is about so I won't waste any more of your time.

This story was my first indirect thought about a concept for a story that wasn't Fanfiction, sort of, at least. I had watched Real Steel before, and I'm a fan of Mecha as a whole, so one day I decided to put pencil to paper (let's be honest, finger to keyboard) and try this out. It was just a fun little experiment with some kind of direction- but who knows? One day, I might come back and finish it.

It all came from a random thought a long time ago, so just take it as that. But otherwise, try to enjoy, even though... well, I'll let you figure that part out yourself.

Fun fact, the short-story itself is equivalent to 20.2 pages in length. (2,346 for the first part, and 4,337 for the second. 6,683 in total- not including the author's note.)
