Vineet and Ruhana are spending time at home with their only son. Ansh runs out to play with his friends and that leaves the couple to have some personal time. He brews some coffee for both of them and the two sit on the floor bed in the living room. They're sipping their coffee in silence when she notices him lost in thought.

"Tum kya sochne lage, Vineet?"

"Kuch nahi, Ruhana. Main bas ye soch raha tha ki waqt kitni jaldi badal jaata hai na. Maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki meri zindagi mein dusra mauka bhi ayaega, par phir tum aayi." He expresses his feelings.

"Socha toh maine bhi nahi tha, Vineet. Lekin zindagi kab kya mod legi ye kisi ko pata nahi hota. Aur phir, agar main Mumbai nahi aati, toh mujhe mera ye parivar bhi nahi milta." She says it with a smile.

"You're right, Biwi ji! Vaise Abhijeet Sir thik kehte hai, tum hamesha logical baatein karti ho." He teases her.

"Han, kyunki tum kabhi kabhi illogical baatein karte ho, pata nahi kya ho jaata hai tumhe!?" She slaps his arm playfully.

"Hey! Kab ki maine illogical baatein?" He glares at her.

"Kal hi! Tumhare dimag mein aise questions aate kahan se hai, Vineet? Aur maine kaha na mujhse aise sawal ya baat mat kiya karo! Lekin tum sunte hi nahi ho." Ruhana makes a face.

"Par wo toh sach hai naa!" He reasons.

"Hoga! Par mujhe nahi manna! Mujhe apna present nahi khona, aur mujhe toh sochna bhi nahi hai wo sab. Ab main tumhare aur Ansh ke bina nahi reh sakti." Saying so, she hugs him, hiding her face in his chest.

He smiles as he embraces her in his arms. Yeah, the other day, he talked about the fear that duty brings in. He jokingly asked her about her steps if he disappeared or died, and she shouted at him. She didn't like that. It's a universal truth, she knows, but for now, she wants to spend her time and live her life with him and their son, Ansh.

He tries to convince her that he won't do all those talks ever again and they remain in the hug for a long time, until they hear Ansh's voice. The little boy is standing in front of them, his hands on his waist, and he is glaring at them.

"Ansh ke binaa hug karna allowed nahi hai, Maa aur papa ko. Main aapse gussa hoon." He says this, pretending to be angry.

"Aww, idhar aao, Ansh ke bina toh waise bhi hug finish nahi ho sakta." Ruhana says while looking at him.

The boy jumps into his mother's arms and she kisses his head. The little one hugs her while Vineet begins to tickle the boy before embracing the two in a hug and he trails down memory lane.

It's a fine day in the bureau and the place is chaotic. Everyone in the bureau seems excited. After a long time, a new person has been added to the team. Abhijeet and Daya are talking about the same. They're amused and happy at the same time.

"Sir, hume kaun join karne wala hai? Aapko pata hai kya?" Purvi asks out of excitement.

"Nahi pata hai, Purvi. ACP Sir kuch nahi bata rahe. Iss baar toh hum dono ko bhi nahi bataya." The senior inspector expresses his displeasure.

"Kahin koi purana member toh join nahi kar raha hume? Tumhe yaad hai na, boss, jab Salunkhe Saab wapas aaye they tab bhi ACP saab ne kisi ko nahi bataya tha. Unka surprise tha!
" Daya says.

"Pata nahi, Daya. Dekhte hain kaun hain ye naya member, umeed karta hoon uske aane se hamaari strength badhegi." Abhijeet says.

"Hamari team ki shakti zaroor badhegi, Abhijeet, aur saath hi jazbaat bhi. Tumhara naya saathi bhi tum sab jaisa hi hai." ACP responds while entering the bureau.

"Kaun aa raha hai,sir?" Vineet asks as he enters the bureau.

"Arey Vineet, tum ab aa rahe ho? Sab thik hai na?" ACP asks as Vineet is always punctual.

"Sir, Ansh ko school chhodne gaya tha aur uski class teacher se milna tha isliye derr ho gayi." He clarifies.

"Thik hai, acha, vo jo kal maine kaam kaha tha wo ho gaya?" ACP asks and Vineet nods.

He moves to his seat, takes out a file and then hands it over to his senior, who walks into his cabin. Vineet tells his colleagues that ACP wanted information on some old cases and he assigned the task to him. The team is just talking when someone enters the bureau.

She's a young girl, five feet, five inches tall; her black hair is wavy; and her eyes shine with confidence. She's beautiful, of course. She greets the seniors.

"Inspector Ruhana Bisht is reporting on duty!"

ACP Sir comes out of his cabin and introduces Ruhana as an undercover cop and he applauds her for her services to the police force in Delhi. ACP Sir knows about her through his friend in Delhi, DSP Vikrant Kashyap. Ruhana promises that she'll do her best and won't give anyone a chance to complain.

Soonish, she mingles with everyone and it seems like she's been a part of the CID for a long time. It's her first day at work and no case has been reported yet. Everyone is finishing their pending work. Ruhana notices that there's one person who is engrossed in his work. Purvi tells her that Vineet is a reserved kind of person and so she approaches him and initiates a conversation, while he's left in awe of her.
