"Mel, Sonya. I brought some treats," Matilda's voice rang from the other side of the door. Mel was up on his paws in an instant. Bounding over to the front door, the pug opened it for his mother, who came in with Gidget's mother Linda following behind her. Both mothers carried a bag filled with sweet goods.

The pups, who were napping at the time, were immediately aroused by the sweet and intoxicating scent. They rushed over and crowded around Matilda and Linda like a pack of hungry coyotes. Sweetpea frantically followed after them, praying they wouldn't get hyped up on sugar. Waking up, Buddy and Sonya came over.

"Thank you for coming Mom," Sonya thanked her mother, hugging her. "Sorry for bringing the sugar when you were pupsitting these little ones," Matilda replied, pointing at the pups as they tried to dig some of the treats out of the bag. Everyone laughed as they watched Sweetpea trying his hardest to keep them out, though he was failing miserably.
