Peering closer at the screen, Duke slowly turned to look at Snowball. "Was there a dog in this group named Venus?" the giant dog asked warily. The rabbit nodded his head, adding, "Almost five years ago, Danger and his gang finally had enough with the members who refused to kill. They were either chased out or killed. I heard rumors that Mars chased out a mutt named Venus, who was pregnant with his pups at the time."

Gasping, Duke lowered his head. Concerned, Max stepped forward and sat down beside him. "Do you know her?" Max asked his brother quietly. Taking a deep breath, Duke looked over at the small dog. His eyes brimmed with tears as he answered solemnly, "She was my mother." Pointing at the computer screen, he went on, "Which means Mars is my father."
