"Why on Earth did you people even drag me outside?" Chloe demanded for an answer as Mel and Buddy literally dragged her into a nearby alley. Duke and Sweetpea followed close behind them. Releasing the tabby's foot, Buddy murmured fearfully, "We heard something." Sweetpea chirped in agreement as he perched on Duke's head. Rolling her green eyes at the three dogs and parakeet, Chloe scoffed angrily.

"We're dead serious Chloe," Duke snarled quietly. Just then, a trash bag fell over behind Buddy, frightening the dachshund. "Geez guys, you're so jumpy these days..."
