Taehyung was deep in sleep, his breath was calm. The peaceful morning was shattered by a series of loud knocks on the door.

Startled awake, Taehyung's eyes flew open. He turned his head slightly to find Jungkook nestled beside him. The knocking continued more urgent this time. Taehyung carefully shifted, trying not to disturb her and swung his legs over the edge of the bed.

He rubbed his eyes, still groggy from sleep and frowned slightly, irritation flickering across his face as he realized the source of the disturbance.

Taehyung opened the door to find Jimin, Yeonjun, and Minjun standing on the other side. They were all dressed in casual attire. Minjun had a wide grin plastered on his face, clearly excited for the day ahead.

Taehyung's morning voice was gravelly and laced with irritation.

"What happened?" he demanded, his tone more curt than usual. His gaze swept over his siblings, his expression hardened by the disturbance.

Jimin spoke first, "Good morning, Brother! We came to wake you up for breakfast. It's already past eight"

Yeonjun gave a casual nod and a smirk. "Yeah, we figured you'd appreciate a wake-up call, especially after everything going on."

Minjun tugged on Jimin's sleeve, his eyes wide and innocent. "Uncle Taehyung, we going to have pancakes today. Grandma said we could have a big breakfast!"

Taehyung's expression remained stoic, he glanced back into the room, where Jungkook was still deeply asleep. "It's early. You should've let us rest longer."

Jimin raised an eyebrow and asked, "Where's Jungkook?"

"Sleeping," Taehyung replied, "She was tired last night."

Jimin and Yeonjun exchanged teasing glances, their smiles widening.

Jimin leaned in slightly, "Oh, tired, huh? You two must have had quite an eventful night."

Taehyung's hands which were combing his hair paused at his sibling's comments. His siblings' casual remarks about his private life annoyed him more than he cared to admit, especially when they involved Jungkook, who was still sound asleep behind him. He straightened, a steely look in his eyes as his protective instinct surfaced, even if he wasn't fully aware of it.

"That's enough," Taehyung cut her off, his tone firmer this time.

"You don't need to concern yourselves with what happens in my bedroom," Taehyung said, his voice calm but laced with warning. He crossed his arms over his chest, his broad shoulders blocking the view into the room.

"You're here to call for breakfast, not to gossip."

His gaze shifted to Minjun, the youngest, who was still clutching Jimin's sleeve, "Minjun, go downstairs with Jimin and Yeonjun. I'll be down shortly."

Minjun blinked up at him, the innocent excitement in his eyes softening Taehyung's expression momentarily. "But, Uncle Taehyung—pancakes?"

"They'll still be there," Taehyung reassured him, though his voice was softer now. "Go on. I won't be long."

"We'll be down when we're ready," he said curtly, his voice leaving no room for argument.

Jimin tilted her head, her eyes narrowing playfully. "Alright, alright. But don't take too long. Otherwise, we might just assume you're... busy again."

"Leave!"

Taehyung's eyes narrowed in warning. His tone wasn't loud but the authority in it was undeniable. Yeonjun let out a small laugh but took the hint, nudging Jimin to step back.

Taehyung quietly shut the door and leaned against it, closing his eyes. The morning's peace had been shattered but at least Jungkook hadn't been disturbed by their antics. His mind lingered on his siblings' teasing words and for a moment, he wondered why he felt so compelled to shield this new, fragile intimacy from them.

Taehyung walked into the bathroom to take a quick shower. He closed the door behind him and the sound of running water began to fill the room.

Meanwhile,

Jungkook stirred in bed, her eyes fluttering open as she began to come back to reality. She glanced around, her mind still hazy from sleep. The unfamiliarity of the morning, combined with the previous night's events, left her disoriented. She sat up slowly, trying to piece together the fragments of her thoughts.

She blinked several times, trying to shake off the haze of sleep that still clouded her vision. Jungkook rubbed her eyes gently, her fingers brushing against the soft fabric of the blanket.

Jungkook's daze was interrupted by the sound of the bathroom door opening. She blinked groggily, her eyes slowly adjusting to the light. As she turned her head, her breath caught in her throat at the sight before her.

Taehyung stepped out of the bathroom, the towel wrapped around his waist highlighting his broad shoulders and toned physique. His hair was damp, crystal clear water droplets clinging to his skin and adding a sheen to his striking appearance.

Jungkook's eyes widened, her gaze locked onto him as her heart skipped a beat. The combination of his presence and the intimate setting made the moment feel intensely charged. She felt a flush creep up her cheeks, her throat going dry.

"Good morning," Taehyung's voice was low and His eyes met hers with a gaze that left no room for argument.

"Get ready. Breakfast is almost ready."

As he spoke, Jungkook couldn't help but feel her heart skip a beat. Her gaze wandered involuntarily over the expanse of his bare chest and the defined muscles. Her mouth felt dry and she swallowed hard, her cheeks growing warmer.

"Yes, Mr. Kim," she managed to murmur, her voice barely a whisper.

In her haste, Jungkook threw off the heavy duvet. She swung her legs over the side of the bed, trying to disentangle herself from the folds of the reception dress. The fabric twisted around her legs, causing her balance to falter.

When she attempted to step down from the bed, her feet became tangled in the heavy gown.

Just as she was about to fall, Taehyung's reflexes were immediate. His strong, bare hands reached out to catch her. His fingers brushed against her waist and sent a shiver through both of them.

In that instant, Jungkook's lips brushed against Taehyung's chest. A gasp escaped her as she felt the smooth, heated surface beneath her lips. Her fingers pressed against his bare chest, the contact sending a ripple of sensation through her.

Both Taehyung and Jungkook felt a shiver as the intimate touch connected them. Taehyung's breath caught slightly, his gaze locked with hers as he felt the soft brush of her lips and the press of her fingers against his skin. His body reacted to the unexpected closeness.

Jungkook's cheeks flushed a deep crimson, her eyes wide with embarrassment. She felt his heated chest against her lips and his body as he steadied her. Her breath quickened, her heart racing as she looked up at him.

"Careful," Taehyung's voice softened.

Jungkook's fingers hovered above the smooth tan skin for a second longer than necessary, her skin brushing lightly against his. her touch was almost hesitant, the wife was reluctant to pull away. Her cheeks grew warmer as she drew her fingers back.

As the moment passed, Jungkook reluctantly stepped back, her fingers slowly drifting away from his chest. She tried to focus on her breathing, her eyes avoiding Taehyung's as she adjusted her dress, the fabric still tangled around her legs.

Taehyung silently knelt. His fingers untangled the heavy fabric and Jungkook watched in a daze as his wet hair fell over his eyes, droplets trickling down his smooth back. His broad shoulders flexed with every movement and her breath hitched as she took in the sight of him kneeling for her, the simple gesture of care pulling at her heart.

Her eyes softened as she looked at him, a tender warmth swelling inside her.

"Thank you," she whispered, her voice trembling with the heat of the intimate encounter.

"Just be more careful," Taehyung straightened, his expression maintaining its usual stoic self.

For a moment, they simply looked at each other. Then, Taehyung turned and walked away. The door clicked shut behind him, leaving Jungkook alone.

Jungkook stood there, still feeling the ghost of his touch and the memory of their closeness. Her heart raced and she bit her lip as she tried to steady herself, her mind still swirling from the intoxicating pull of him.

After a few minutes,

Jungkook emerged from the bedroom, her cheeks still flushed from the previous encounter. As she descended the stairs, she saw him waiting at the bottom, dressed in a crisp suit highlighting his sharp features.

Her soft hair flew gently down her shoulders. Her fingers fidgeted with the edge of her dress, smoothing it down as she took each step carefully, her eyes flickering downward, stealing glances toward the stairs instead of meeting his gaze.

Taehyung stood at the bottom of the stairs, his sharp suit fitting perfectly, highlighting his strong, broad shoulders and tall frame. He seemed calm and confident, standing with one hand casually in his pocket. A sleek black phone was held in his slim, long fingers, his thumb idly brushing across the screen.

Jungkook's heart skipped as she watched him. Her fingers instinctively brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, the tiny action betraying her nerves. She tugged lightly at her sleeve trying to steady herself. Her eyes, large and doe-like, flickered up to meet his but quickly looked away, her gaze shy and hesitant.

"Ready?" Taehyung's deep voice cut through the silence. His gaze lingered on her taking in her beauty, though his expression remained composed.

Jungkook nodded softly, her eyes lowering as she clasped her hands together in front of her.

Taehyung led the way to the dining room. As he walked, he pulled out his phone, his fingers moving swiftly over the screen. The lines of his brow furrowed deeper with each new message and missed call.

Jungkook trailed behind him. She quickened her pace to keep up with his long strides, feeling like she was trying to keep up with a force of nature—powerful and unyielding. Her eyes often darted to the back of his suit, looking at the strong set of his shoulders and his broad back.

She adjusted her dress with a soft tug, trying to regain her composure and not let her unease show. Her steps were light, each one an attempt to match his rhythm.

Taehyung and Jungkook entered the dining room, the soft clinking of cutlery against plates paused and all eyes turned toward them.

"Ah, there they are, our newlyweds!" Jimin's voice rang out cheerfully, breaking the silence, face lighting up with a wide grin.

Yeonjun followed suit, teasingly raising an eyebrow as he leaned back in his chair. "Took you both long enough. Must have had quite the morning, huh?"

Jungkook's cheeks flushed as she stood slightly behind Taehyung. Her heart raced feeling everyone's gaze on her. She quickly glanced at Taehyung, who remained calm.

Taehyung nodded respectfully toward his family, his hand resting casually in his pocket. "Good morning," he greeted, his voice even but there was a protectiveness in his tone as he glanced toward Jungkook.

Yeonjun piped up from his seat, grinning mischievously.

"Hyung, are you going to let Sister-in-law sit next to you or are you going to keep her standing there forever?"

Taehyung shot him a look, the corner of his mouth twitching to hide a smirk. Without missing a beat, he pulled out the chair next to him for Jungkook.

"There's your seat, Sister-in-law" Jimin teased playfully, earning a glare from Taehyung. "Don't worry, we won't tease... too much."

Jungkook's face reddened again but she couldn't help the small smile that tugged at her lips as she sat down. The family's warmth and the teasing brought a comfort she hadn't expected.

Taehyung placed a hand on the back of her chair before sitting down himself. His silent gesture was subtle but protective, quietly reminding everyone that Jungkook was now under his care.

The conversation flowed easily among the family members with light-hearted remarks and small talk over plates of steaming food.

Despite the lively atmosphere at the breakfast table, Jungkook felt Soomin's cold stare. The family's conversation seemed to dim whenever Soomin's eyes flicked towards her, a reminder that not everyone welcomed her presence with open arms.

Soomin, seated across from Jungkook, made no effort to hide her disdain. Her eyes flicked towards Jungkook with a cold gaze. Each glance was filled with hate, her lips tightening into a thin line whenever her gaze met Jungkook's.

Jungkook could feel those glances like icy daggers aimed at her heart. She tried to focus on her plate, on the delicate bites of food she was placing into her mouth but the oppressive atmosphere made it nearly impossible.

At one point, as the family laughed at something Minjun said, Soomin's voice broke through the chatter, low and sharp. "It's interesting," she began, her words directed at no one in particular, yet her eyes never left Jungkook.

"How quickly some people find their place at this table as if they belong here."

The light-hearted mood at the table stilled, the bitterness in her tone was hard to miss. Jungkook felt her heart tighten, the words stinging more than she expected. She clenched her hands beneath the table.

Taehyung straightened in his seat, his jaw tightening as he caught the meaning behind his mother's words. He placed his fork down, the clink of metal against his plate drawing everyone's attention.

With a firm voice, Taehyung responded, "Everyone at this table belongs here, Mother."

Soomin's gaze narrowed slightly, but she said nothing, merely raising an eyebrow as if to challenge him.

Jungkook glanced at Taehyung, surprise and gratitude filling her chest. Though his expression remained stoic, his defence soothed some of the unease she felt.

The silence stretched for a moment longer before Jimin interjected with a bright smile.

"Well, I think it's time for some more coffee, don't you think?" She glanced around the table, trying to lighten the mood.

Yeonjun nodded in agreement, adding, "Definitely. And maybe some pancakes for Minjun before he starts another round of complaints."

The conversation gradually resumed, the previous tension slipping into the background, though the bitter remained—unspoken, yet felt by all.

Taehyung was engaged in light conversation with his grandmother. As his grandmother spoke, Taehyung subtly reached for the bread, carefully buttering a slice without breaking their conversation. He slid the bread onto Jungkook's plate, his eyes never leaving his grandmother's as they discussed a recent event. The motion was so smooth.

Jungkook noticed his small act. She felt a gentle nudge as Taehyung's fingers brushed hers while placing a small bowl of fruit next to her plate.

Taehyung's focus remained on the conversation but he would reach for the jug of juice, filling Jungkook's glass halfway before setting it back down, all the while nodding at something his grandmother had said.

Jungkook bit into the buttered bread, her lips curving into a soft smile, the taste became sweeter due to the attention behind it. Her earlier nerves began to fade replaced by happiness that settled in her chest.

Jungkook's cheeks flushed slightly, a delicate pink colouring her otherwise pale skin. She smiled softly, almost shyly, her heart light as she slowly began to eat, savouring not just the food but the affection woven into every small act of kindness.

Grandma looked up from her plate and addressed the room with a warm smile.

"I wanted to let you know that Aunt Yin and Aunt Kin will arrive later today."

Jungkook glanced around, noticing the way the announcement seemed to catch everyone's attention. The mention of the two aunts evoked curiosity.

Sensing her confusion, Grandma's gaze softened as she turned her attention to Jungkook.

"Aunt Yin and Aunt Kin are Soomin's maternal cousins," she explained gently. "They've always been very close to the family, especially to Soomin."

Jungkook nodded slowly, her mind processing the information.

Jimin chuckled softly and leaned in closer to Jungkook, her voice barely a whisper but filled with mischief.

"Oh, Aunt Yin and Aunt Kin... they're the typical aunts, trust me. Always nagging about every little thing—how you eat, how you dress, even how you sit!" She rolled her eyes playfully, her grin widening.

"And don't get me started on how they act like they're above everyone else. It's like they're constantly on some high horse, reminding everyone about how perfect they are."

Jungkook's lips curved into a small smile, her eyes widening slightly at the description. The idea of being around these aunts seemed both amusing and a little daunting.

"They're the kind who always has something to say, even if no one asked," Jimin continued, "You'll hear all about their 'good deeds' and 'flawless' families. They love to show off."

Jungkook stifled a soft giggle, the image Jimin painted growing clearer.

"You'll survive," Jimin added with a wink, nudging Jungkook lightly. "Just smile and nod. That's the trick."
