Luna woke up early to find the assassin the day after yesterday. She knew he was something different. Because her knife landed near the knee cap which was to damage quite a bit of damage to the knee itself. But, the man climbed up the roof with no effort so she knew right way he or it was something different.

She opened the door to Siegfried's room, as he was already up and writing in his notebook. Luna caught him writing sometimes in his room. During the day, evening, and night time.

His face set on the pages. Concentrating on whatever he wrote. His pen writing hard on the pages of the book but seemed light as he had the most beautiful handwriting Luna had ever seen. All the letters perfectly curved or straight at the ends. It was clear he was royalty.

Luna cleared her throat as she set down the tea right by him. He snapped up his attention to her. Staring into her eyes. Luna didn't know why, but whenever they met eye contact, Siegfried seem to take them. As if seeing her bright and light soul behind her violet eyes who saw the evil of the world through them. But, not too him.

"Ahh Luna, thank you for bring my morning tea."

Luna bowed with grace. She had been getting better at it than before, "Your welcome, and your highness."

"Please, call me Siegfried."

Luna blushed. She blush as her rosy red cheek hid behind her prefect auburn curls, "Okay, your high- Siegfried!"

The prince chuckled. Clearly entertained by her behavior, "I'll know you'll get use to saying it. I have faith in you, Luna."

"You do? But I am only a maid."

Siegfried eyes lightened. His gray eyes shining with a light color almost making his eyes white in the center of his iris, "I have faith in everyone I meet. Well, save that for the two people in my family, but you are different."

Luna perk up her head. This caught her attention as Siegfried smirk at his winning conversion, "How so? I AM just a maid. Like I said before, nothing more."

"But you're more than just a maid herself. You were someone before you came into his castle. I know you're a beginner because," He picked up his tea and spilled it out by the nearest window, "You forget to add water with the tea. Somehow you put coffee in there. I'm guessing you've never made tea before?"

Luna's whole body burst with embarrassment. She could feed it spread all around her. From the point of her fingertips and the ends of her toes, "Y-yes! B-but please forgive me! I came from the countryside! We don't have much down their..."

Siegfried smiled at her as he patted her in the back. Luna stiffened at the feeling, she hadn't had someone touch her in years. Siegfried didn't seem to notice as he took a hold of her shoulders firmly, "It's okay Luna. I know a lot of workers here are from poor parts of this great nation."

Luna nodded. She looked out the window as the city started filling in with people. People already up and early as others in their dreams, hoping to never wake up from then soon.

"I miss home a bit..." Luna said. Her head drawn down as she faced Siegfried. He looked at her with a sadness she couldn't understand. Loneliness or helplessness in them? Or both?

"I hope you like it here too. Because, truth to be told, I enjoy your company. There are some people who hate my company because of my father."

Luna understood why. He didn't look like his father, but that didn't mean he couldn't turn into him. But she didn't see anything in his soul to turn him into the demonic, corrupted, and harsh soul his father had.

"I hope so too. Because I'm here of family." Luna winced. Unsure of why her lie to his face hurt her so much. She's lied to people before so when she rid them of demons so they wouldn't question her what she did to them.

"Maybe I can help you a bit."

Luna's soul seemed to warm up next to his brightly. Her green soul mixing with his aqua colored one, "What do you mean?"

"I could give you some more money than what your monthly paycheck gives you." He pulled out his Tabscreen and did some calculations on it. He showed her the number as her eyes seemed to pop right out from the number itself, "Will this do?"

"Y... YES! THANK YOU!"

Luna hugged him as he staggered backwards a bit at the suddenness of her impact. Siegfried blush pink as the petals of a cherry blossom as he hugged her back.

"Y-your welcome..." Siegfried said shyly.

A loud crash came through the balcony windows as shards of glass spread out across the room.

Siegfried held Luna close to him as Luna tried seeing through his arms.

Luna eyes widen in shock as her heart hammer against her rib cage. She knew Siegfried could hear it too as he shield her from him. The assassin dressed in black stood up with glass shards dropping down from him as he slowly stood up glaring at Luna.

"Who are you?!" Siegfried demanded with a voice of steel.

"I am here for the girl." He raised up his pocket dagger and pointed it at Luna, "She must DIE!"

Siegfried gasped as he couldn't react in time to doge or throw Luna away from the flying dagger. But, someone else was. Luna quickly caught the dagger in between the hilt of her fingers.

Siegfried felt shock course threw him as Luna's lively violet eyes turned into dark purple as she glared at the man.

"Hmp. So, you attack me like this? I could do better."

Siegfried blushed as she reached under her skirts. It quickly faded away as she pulled a long sliver knife with words carved on the edges, "Let's dance with blood, shall we?"

Jason came in through the gates as the other knights bowed to him as be passed by high and proud. Jason was used to it since he was the high knight of the palace.

He jumped off his black stallion. He gave her a carrot before walking up the steps and into the feeding hall.

It was jammed with people as others laughed with friend and some just bet each other with money.

Jason shook his head as a smile played on his curved lips. He sat down on the benches as soon after another weight filled on his left side.

He turned to find his best friend, Ian, next to him. He had red head orange color going as his brown-golden eyes held a place of happiness he always seen inside him.

"Your back already? It must have been a quick ride to deliver the city's food." His cheerful voice lighted up his honey golden eyes as he took a bite out a apple.

Jason nodded as he blew a piece of his sliver hair out of his eyes, "Yeah. It summer time so not many crops grow during the warm season."

"That's true." He put his apple down and took out his sword, "Check this baby out. Just got her back from the blacksmith. She all pure sliver!"

Jason looked at the long swords as it was almost tall as he was as it reflected his appearance back at him. Just then, a wave of nausea burned through his body. Jason held back an gulp of air.

His face turned pale as he stood up shakily from the bench. Ian looked up at him worriedly as he sheath his sword. "Are you alright?"

"Y-yes... I just need to rest...."

Jason ran to his room before Ian could say anymore. He ran to his room and closed the door. Dizziness took over. Before he passed out he saw a shadow from behind, it's red eyes never leaving him as his soul felt drained. His soul almost snapping into two as he felt it all day long.
