I am Meloetta.
A Pokemon that is the embodiment of beautiful sound and music.
In fact, I was an idol up until two years ago...
<2 Years Ago...>
I had been getting ready backstage, and I was about to step into the spotlight. I had memorized a beautiful song, and I was quite excited about it, as well. "Okay... I'm ready." I said, as my backstage workers nodded. I took small steps into the spotlight, and walked up to the microphone. There was an audience, staring... Cheering... Waiting for my voice to sing. There was something I had noticed... The audience was much smaller than usual. But, that didn't stop me. I took a deep breath, and spoke. "Thank you all for attending my concert!" I smiled, as a few people cheered. My smile faded, realizing that only a few out of the crowd cheered. I cleared my throat, as the music began to play. "Quietly, I try to laugh... Through the tears that I'm holding back... Color's that I picture flow from a palette like a rainbow..." I sang, a beautiful angelic voice spilling from the microphone, echoing through the area. The music picked up the pace. "Please distinguish me... Emotions draining from me... Fill me in with paint before I dissapear..." I continued to sing. Some of the crowd had walked away. I hadn't stopped, since there were quite a few people still listening with smiles.
"...Did you hear? There's a new singer that's been climbing up the ranks!..."
"Really?"
I heard the audience murmur and whisper. Regardless, the chorus of the song had arrived, so I continued singing. "'I love you' melts into a drop of beautiful blue, just like a falling tear... 'Thank you' ascending as a crimson red melody, is sweet music to my ears..." I extended the last word. "I will be erasers mind... I will be erasers mind..." I repeated. "They spin inside of me in navy... These revolving memories... As we draw nearer to each other, my eyes can see our bright future!" I sang, with emotional force. I had realized that even more people left. My heart sang, but I still sang as if I had made millions of peoples' days... "'I love you' painted out in shades of shadowy grey, fills me with happiness..." I sang.
No one was there anymore
"'Thank you' falls softly from my lips and is washed away, by our single pure white kiss...!" I sang, a powerful message being conveyed from the lyrics, as I extended the last word. The music came to a halt, as I fell to my knees.
I hadn't realized that I had been crying.
I had put so much thought into that performance...
Only for it to be wasted away, like a plastic wrapper, that had once contained something amazing...
From that point on...
I had ceased to speak, and sing...
I was mute, trapped in a glass case of ignorance...
My glass case had no entrance, or exit.
Trapped... In silence...
<Present Day>
I walked through town, a hood covering my face. My long green and blue hair was tucked into it, so no one could see it. I wasn't wearing my black and green dress like I had years ago. I was wearing a plain green pair of shorts to pair with the black sweatshirt I was wearing. I saw a small ball fly past me, and bounce off into an alley. "Awww man! Mom said to not go in the alleys..." A small mawile girl pouted. Another girl, a Skitty, ran over to her. "What'll we do?" She asked. I took out a pen, and wrote on my notebook that was in my pocket.
"Want me to go get your ball?"
"Huh? You'd do that for us?" The Skitty beamed with joy. I nodded, as I smiled. I wrote another sentence.
"Sure. Wait here."
They both nodded, as I walked towards the alley. It was quite dark, but I could see just fine. I saw the small red ball back further into the alley. I began to run towards it, though I hadn't realized that my hood had fallen, and my hair was flowing behind me. I had stopped, picked up the ball, and left the alley. Once I stepped out of the alley, i walked over to the two girls. I held the ball out to them. They grabbed it, and ran away. "...?" I raised an eyebrow, as I looked around. Everyone in town was staring at me, judging me with their eyes.
"What is she doing here?"
"Don't go near her, she's ugly..."
"Ugh... Her again?"
I looked down, clenching my fists. I ran out of town, into the forest.
I am Meloetta.
The Pokemon who is the embodiment of silence and grief...
An eyesore.
