AMY POV***

This was not good, we had already almost been discovered once tonight. I shot Alex a panicked look, I wasn't sure what to do.

"Amy, what's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" Alex said, there was a clear look of concern painted across his expression.

"Adam is home" I said, voice trembling.

"Okay??? Adam is home? What does that mean?" Alex asked, growing more and more concerned by the moment.

"Adam is my older brother, he's in college, and well... how do I put this...." I paused and thought for a moment.

"I can't stand him. To be honest, we can't stand each other." I finished

"Like as in you dislike him but still love him or..." Alex said leaving a uncomfortable silence in the room.

"He is the opposite of everything I stand for. He's lazy, I'm a workaholic, I'm devoted to academics he's flunking all his classes." I said.

"Oh, so sibling rivalry huh... but what does he have that you don't?" He asked, clearly puzzled.

"He's good at making friends, and I struggle with that. He is better at everything sports, in general." I said admitting my defeat.

"Okay now that we have that sorted out, what are we going to do???" He said a little panicked.

"You are going to hide, and I will try to keep him out of my room!" I said, quickly jumping to my feet.

"Wait! Amy! Where??" Alex cried.

"Anywhere!!" I said dashing out my door, and closing it behind me as I made a mad dash down the stairs.

My rivalry with Adam started after he went to high school, we actually used to be best friends.
After middle school, Adam changed. He wasn't even the same person anymore. We used to spend all our spare time together, playing video games and drawing. He would help me teach Jake and I was so proud to be his little sister.

After going into high school, he stopped hanging out and began to ignore me and Jake. Then he started to get mean, mean to Jake and me. I was devastated, I couldn't understand why he was being mean!

I began to hate him after he made Jake cry. And despised him after he humiliated me, telling the guy I liked about my crush on him...

   I just became bitter and cold to him, and like a fierce mama bear when it came down to Jake.

Amy swiftly ran out the door and closed it behind her. Well that was interesting.... Better find a good place to hide...

  I glanced around the room, finding no suitable hiding spots and groaned. Where to hide, where to hide?? I can't risk the closet again... and I can't fit under the bed... Oh! I can just wait in my room until the coast is clear!

With my mind made I grabbed the beach of the well placed tree and swung back into my room, landing on my feet perfectly.

Gosh, it's getting late, I hope this gets cleared soon before it hits midnight, I'm not the safest driver after so little sleep and early morning rising. Maybe I shouldn't have called in that tow truck I thought to myself, feeling a little stupid and guilty.

But it was totally worth it to have her arms around my waist... I wonder if... no!! This is too quick, yeah she is cute but, I've only know the girl for a few days!

I groaned and flopped down on my bed, this is going to be a long week ahead..
