DOING MY BEST TO HOLD IN THE TEARS HERE

I don't mind being alone.

I spent most of Christmas Break shut in my room, working on my inventions. I tricked out Raph's bike and made it electric, and now we can't get him off of it.

On the other hand, I've found that there are some people I don't mind being around so much. People who accept me as I am and desire to help me grow. No matter how little they factor into my life, they're still there.

That's what I'm thinking about as I walk into school after break is over. I have Metalhead in my backpack and a science fair to look forward to, as well as setting up the stage effects for a new play the school's putting on. I think it's one of Shakespeare's. Othello.

I don't know what happened, but I feel more visible now.

'It's not much.' I think as I pass April in the hallway. She gives me a little wave, and I wave back to her.

'But little steps make big differences.' I say good morning to Irma as I join her on the way to homeroom.

'And I am also a difference.' I sit down in my desk and face life.

'And man, that sure is something.'

 The End.

For now.

*sobs* Man. That turned out pretty all right. Thank you very much for reading this far. This story is very dear to my heart.
