Hi again! Please, I'm in need of feedback, so if you have anything you want to say, feel free to comment and tell me how you think my story is! this chapter is in my POV.

The bridges of the Nether Fortress loomed above me as I mined away at the nuggets of gold embedded in the side of the hill. I dug one out and shoved it in my pack alongside the others. The vein continued for another couple meters, then stopped. I checked how many of the little lumps of metal I had gotten, and moved on the next vein. I had been mining for hours, and I still didn't have enough gold.

The problem with gold ore in The Nether is that the veins are less rich than the ones in The Overworld. Each block drops gold nuggets, instead of a big chunk of raw gold, so it takes two or three blocks of it to get an ingot. The only good things about it are that you don't have to smelt it, and it's pretty common.

I hacked out the rest of the vein I was working on, and took out a crafting table. I grabbed all nine stacks of my gold nuggets, and crafted them into a stack of gold ingots. I then went to find my friends and check on how they were doing.

I found Scimitar digging a pit to lure piglins into so they couldn't run away, and Cite joined us a few minutes later. Together, we had two and a half stacks of gold ingots. We waited for piglins to spawn, and then we threw gold on the ground at the edge of the pit. The piglins rushed over, and while they gazed dreamily into the depths of the yellow prisms, we pushed them into the hole. I threw the rest of the gold in after them, and we settled down to wait.

After a while, Scim checked the pit and there was a little pile of ender pearls. The moment the piglins were done bartering, I killed them and took the pearls, along with all the other useful items.

"Alright, we have six pearls! Scim, can you craft them with the blaze powder?" I asked.

"Uh huh. with our luck, we'll need, like, eighteen of these things. We can't use cords to triangulate, the stronghold's probably gonna be really far away, and about one in three of our eyes will break, and the portal won't have any eyes. This is only the beginning!" He predicted.

"You may be right, but considering the spawning of the stronghold in the main realm, we deserve a lucky seed, and from what I know about Minecraft worlds, if a seed is lucky, it can usually only get luckier." I observed. "For example, if you find a village and a desert temple, you'll probably find a lava pool nearby."

"Time to break out those picks again. We still need more gold." Said Cited, walking away to find some.

"I need to go eat dinner." Scimitar told me.

"See you tomorrow!" I said to him right before he left, and then he was gone. Me and Cite mined for a bit longer, then we walked back to the portal and went through back into the Overworld. We looked around the caves for a couple of minutes, found a couple of axolotls, smelted some iron, and logged off as well. We had only been playing for an hour, and The End was already in sight.

Hi again! Sorry if this chapter was short, but I'm on a crunch for time and really need to update A World of Adventure, my other Minecraft fanfic. I might be making a new story soon in the perspective of either an axolotl or a wolf, so don't be surprised if I start breaking my chapter-a-week streak. I really like this fanfic, but I feel like I need to make some time for my others. See you in the next chapter!
