Rainpaw. A bit larger than before. Nine moons of age. Eyes shining blue. The apprentice was in the apprentice den, trying to ignore Agilepaw's useless rambling. And Wavepaw's ramping. And Deerpaw's flustering. "Why can't all of you just shut up?!" She yelped, and everyone looked at her with confusion. No one understands her. And she hated it.

River debated every single thing she did. Hunting felt like a pain. Everything felt like a hassle with the weigh of guilt hovering upon her. Cutting herself with her claws was an escape, but it never lasted very long. Most scars heal over and have fur cover them. But nothing could cover the emotional scab she still picked at. River looked at the setting sun in the orange skies, and almost made up her mind. About what? About going back. It's been six moons ever since she saw Rain. And she felt guilty. But, she decided that she'll go tomorrow. Night would not play in her favor.
