Hello everyone. My name is Noel. Welcome to Part 2 of The Story Of Rusty's Ghost Engine. Last Chapter, we talked about my favourite Thomas And Friends Episode of all time, Duncan Gets Spooked. We talked about what happened to Rusty's Ghost Engine in the Episode, and who he might have been. Already, this Story is really dark. But believe it or not, this Story actually takes an even DARKER turn...

In 2019, people from the Thomas And Friends Fandom started spreading rumors that The Story Of Rusty's Ghost Engine was actually based off a true incident that happened in the city of Dartmoor, England in the early 1960's.

Now before I read you the Story, keep in mind that these are all just rumors and I've never found any articles or reports about this Story, so it could be totally made up just for fun. This is how it goes.

On a misty moonlit night in the early 1960's, a little Narrow Gauge Engine was pushing 4 Slate Trucks across an Old Iron Bridge in Dartmoor, England when all of a sudden, the Truck in the front of the Train de-railed and fell off the bridge, taking the rest of the Train, including The Engine and it's crew with it. The Engine braked as hard as it could, but it was no use. The whole Train plunged over the bridge into the muddy marsh! The crew cried and yelled out for help as loud as they could, but they were trapped in the wreckage and couldn't get out. They screamed and pleaded through out the whole night, but no one was close enough to help them, and all the crew members died... To make matters even more terrifying, the wreckage wasn't discovered until half a century later in the early 2010's...

Once again, this whole Story is only a rumor and speculation with no proof of it that I can find anywhere. Because if this was a real tragic Story, it would definitely be on the news. Especially if it was discovered as recent as the early 2010's. On top of all that, if the Story was true, then Britt Allcroft and David Mitton used this Story over a decade before it's wreckage was finally discovered. Also, in the Story Rusty told Duncan and Peter Sam, The Engine wasn't pushing or even pulling anything when it fell off the bridge. It's likely that if this Story was real and if Britt and David knew about it, they likely would've filmed the Engine push a few Trucks across the Bridge in the Story to be more accurate. As interesting as this Story is, it's really far fetched and propsterous. Even if this was a real Story, it's more likely that Rusty's Ghost Engine was more of a coincidence because they do have a lot of differences as much as they have a lot of similarities.

For me, I Personally believe that The Dartmoor Accident Story was just a Story made up by people in the Thomas Fandom just for fun and to make this episode creep people out even more. Even today, 4 years after these rumors started, there are still no articles, reports, or any evidence that proves this was a real Story, nor was The Story Of Rusty's Ghost Engine based on it.

Thank you for reading Part 2 of The Story Of Rusty's Ghost Engine. Next Chapter, we will conclude this Story by answering the most important question. Who do I think was Rusty's Ghost Engine! We will see this whole Story from MY point of view.

To be concluded...
