"Hybridizer."

The whole auditorium roared up with claps and cheers. After the showcase, Lee Suk went towards his office, Namjoon caught up with him and greeted him.

"Nice to officially meet you Mr. Kim Namjoon."

He said shaking the young hybrid's hand.

"Pleasure is mine sir."

Lee Suk gestured the Hybrid to walk along. Nervously walking with the man, Namjoon side glances the other staff, that were looking at him, like they have never since a hybrid before.

Lee Suk opened his office door and gestured Namjoon to enter and the latter did. He looked at the huge office of his mentor. The big glass windows where he could see the whole city. Lee Suk looked at the young hybrid, mesmerized in the view.

"Do you like the view kid?"

Lee Suk asked bringing Namjoon out of the view. The boy smiled shyly and nodded to which the man chuckled. He handed Namjoon a drink which he politely refused.

"My son, I know that all these views and applauds are fascinating and can make you feel like you own the world..."

Lee Suk leaned on his table and looked at the young hybrid with serious gaze.

"But all these are distraction. I want you to work towards making the world into a better place."

Namjoon nodded his head agreeing to the older man. That's what Namjoon always loved about Lee Suk, he always thought about people and their well-being.

"I won't let this distract me from my work."

Lee Suk smiled and they shake hands. After coming out of the office, Namjoon goes to his designated office. As he opened the door he found three young scientists sitting and chatting with each other. They stopped and stood up as soon as they saw Namjoon standing there and bowed to him.

Namjoon repeat the same action and smiled at them.

"I am Kim Namjoon, I will be leading the 'Hybridizer' project."

They all smiled and nodded their heads.

"I am Ha Aera, I will be handling the research of the drug."

The cat hybrid said with a smile to which Namjoon nodded.

"I am Park Kang-soo, I will be handling the testing of the drug."

She bowed again and then the tall boy next to her bowed to Namjoon.

"I am Choi Soo-bin, I will be assisting you during the whole process."

They exchanged more information on their education and position and prior experience.

News Station

Yoo Ra was rewatching the showcase, something about Lee Suk was not sitting well with her. Special the part where he introduced Namjoon to the whole world while the poor hybrid looked unprepared for.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Se-ri, she came with two cups of coffee. Yoo Ra thanked the girl for the same and continued watching the video.

"Unni?"

Yoo Ra hummed in response still staring at the screen.

"Why are you watching this? It's been a long time since you are watching this... is there any problem with the video or did I do any mistake?"

Yoo Ra turned to her side to see worried Se-ri. Yoo Ra shook her head and smiled.

"No Se-ri, you didn't make any mistake."

Se-ri nodded in appreciation just before she was about to say something Yoo Ra spoke up again.

"By the way, what are your thoughts on Choi Lee Suk?"

Se-ri thought for a second or so then looked up at Yoo Ra.

"As much as I have heard and read about him, he looked like a good person."

Yoo Ra nodded and looked at the now paused screen with Lee Suk and Namjoon shaking hands.

"Unni, is something worrying you?"

Yoo Ra signed and looked at Se-ri.

"Don't you feel like something is off about-"

Mr. Guk interrupted them as he came with a whole lot of files in his hands and kept it on their table. Yoo Ra and Se-ri shared a look and shrugged.

"Sir? What are all these files about?"

"These are the files on increasing traffic crime rate data. You need to go through them and make a report for your first official news set."

"But sir-"

"No buts Yoo Ra, you have time till tomorrow morning."

And he left making Yoo Ra sigh in annoyance. She wanted to follow Lee Suk's new Hybrid Drug but instead she as to deal with a problem that irresponsible people are responsible for.

Se-ri on the other hand, went through the files sincerely. Yoo Ra glanced at the paused screen.

"What are you planning Lee Suk...?"

MediCure

So-man paced around his office, today in particular was very stressful for him. He was unaware of Lee Suk's intentions which makes everything that was happening very intense.

He sat down on his office chair and opened Namjoon's profile. His remarkable academic background, his prior internship where his record was nothing less then A grade. Overall a very good and impressive resume.

So-man calls his secretary and ask for a detailed file for the upcoming Hybridizer project but secretary informed him that he doesn't have the permission to access it.

He kept the phone and sighed in frustration and ran his hand through his hair.

"What are you hiding Lee Suk? That also from me?"

He leaned back on his chair, closing his eyes getting annoyed at the feeling of being kept in dark.

On the other side, Namjoon was going through the research papers and brainstorming with his new team.

Calling it a day, Namjoon and his team say their goodbyes and retreat their way home. Reaching to his shared apartment with Jackson, Namjoon finds himself alone. Washing up and eating whatever he found in the fridge, he sat in front of the TV.

All the news channels showed his face as the newly appointed scientist for the drug Hybridizer. He saw his nervous self on the TV, which made Namjoon a bit uneasy. He felt like some attacked on his vulnerability. He was really unprepared and neither was he informed that he would be asked to come on the stage. Namjoon sighed at his thought and rubbed his sides of his head.

Just as Namjoon was getting up from the couch the front door opened by Jackson coming inside. Namjoon smiled at his tired friend and went towards him.

"Jackson you alright?"

"I am good but tired..."

He whined while removing his shoes and socks and throwing them away, falling falt on the couch and stretching his body making loud noises earing a cushion on his face by Namjoon.

"Are you alright Joonie?"

Namjoon looked at Jackson who was now sitting up straight, leaning towards a bit, resting his elbows on his thighs. Namjoon sighed and looked away and gave a small smile.

"Yeah Jackson..... it's just I was unprepared for the media appearance...."

Jackson patted his friend's shoulder and squeezed it a bit. Later the night, they chatted about here and there and called it a night, since Namjoon was feeling really tired, he went straight to the bed and slept peacefully.

Namjoon and Soo-bin were going through the research papers. Namjoon glanced at the young boy and smiled at how concentrated he was on his work. Namjoon's ears twitched from the sudden entrance from the girls.

"Sir, these are some blood samples from volunteers for the test."

Kang-soo said keeping the three volunteers' blood samples which were labeled as 'exhibit W', 'exhibit D' and 'exhibit H' which confused Namjoon a bit. He was aware of the denotes of W & D which were commonly used to differentiate between Wild and Domestic hybrids but not that of H.

"Ms. Kang-soo? What who is the exhibit H?"

"Sir, it is of a half hybrid."

"But why half hybrids?"

Kang-soo shrugged indicating that she was not aware of the same. Half hybrids were usually immune to human medications since their genetics are mostly Human genes dominated.

Namjoon sighed and asked Kang-soo to proceed with the testing.

"Sir, the results are normal and can be used as test subjects for the testing."

Namjoon read the report and nodded to the girl and smiled in appreciation, giving the her the file back.

"Okay so now we will proceed with the Hybridizer project."

The rest of them nodded and started with the same. Namjoon sensed someone's presence and turned around to see his mentor with a big Cheshire Cat smile. The four bowed to their boss, making Lee Suk smirk.

"Namjoon, how is the project going on?"

"Everything seems fine sir, we will start with test and trial of the drug."

"Good."

Namjoon smiled and gestured Lee Suk to come along. The young hybrid shared all the details and spoke about the process overall.

"I am really impressed Namjoon."

Lee Suk patted the hybrid's back and came in the center of the room and looked at all four of them. He fished out two sealed vials out of his pockets and placed them on the table. Namjoon and his subordinates shared a look and then watched the man with full attention.

"These two bottles are my years of research. I have spend my days and nights, my blood sweat and tears in formulating this."

Namjoon looked at the two bottles which were labeled as W & D. He understood that these vials were related to the Hybridizer project but refrained himself from asking anything.

"These are the components I need you to use these in your Hybridizer project."

Namjoon was getting confused as to why those vials were so important.

"Sir, sorry but could I ask you, what are these components? And how are they helpful in this-"

"Namjoon, I was hoping you would ask me this question."

Lee Suk went towards Namjoon and handed him the vials and went back to his position.

"These Namjoon, are the combinations of the most healing elements, combining them to become one so that they can easily be added to Hybridizer."

Namjoon glances at the vials first and then Lee Suk and gives him a uncertain smile. After a few more minutes of briefing Lee Suk takes his exist.

Newsroom

"As you can see, Cats & Dogs are responsible for the 45% of traffic accidents."

Yoo Ra spoke as she read the script from the teleprompter but stopped as she read the problematic statement which was being racist towards the hybrid. Yoo Ra rose from her chair leaving the producers calling her name to come back but she was pissed.

She stormed to her supervisor's office, where Mr. Guk was in a meeting with his other subordinates.

"Sir! Really? These is what we are going to say?"

She threw the paper on his desk which read

"Guess hybrids aren't getting any driver's license."

Mr. Guk was visibly upset from the statement and saw how angry Yoo Ra was. Though she was not related to hybrids but she never saw them as some different beings, she just saw them as part of her kind.

"This line is really problematic. We will change and revert back to you-"

"Sir, to be honest, I don't really think I should be wasting my time in covering all this.."

"What do you mean?"

"Sir, I think Lee Suk is up to something."

"What? Is he coming up with a new drug?"

Mr. Guk asked with peak interest but Yoo Ra shook her head and sighed.

"Sir, I think... there is something wrong with the whole Hybridizer project."

Mr. Guk leaned back and rolled his eyes show his clear disinterest in the matter.

"Sir, I am sure, everything fits-"

"Do you have evidence?"

Yoo Ra was taken a back and looked at him with nervous graze.

"Yoo Ra, you need to get some evidence on this matter to start a story on this."

He sighed at Yoo Ra's dishearten face and stood up walking towards her.

"Yoo Ra, MediCure is one of the strongest company in Korea right now which makes Choi Lee Suk the strongest man in Korea and if you want to go against him bring something that will help your case strongest."

Yoo Ra nodded firmly and looked at him with new determination making Mr. Guk smile at her. She took her leave.

"The kid got fire in her... but the person she wants to go against is...." sigh.
