Riley looked back up slowly; she was surprised that he hadn't gotten uncomfortable with her yet. That was exactly what she had needed too, just rant to someone for a few minutes. She nodded and sighed slightly before she spoke, "You're exactly right, Liam." Riley glanced at the clock and saw that it was already 9:20. "Wow, oh my gosh. We've been driving around for like a half an hour already."

Liam looked at the clock too, disbelieving of her words, "Wow, it really has. Well I can get you home now. Unless you wanna talk more?"

"Well it's okay, I've gotta get to bed soon so I can get up early to walk tomorrow," she answers, not thinking anything of it. Riley grabbed her school bag and her phone from the floor as she directed him on how to get to her house.

When he parked in the driveway, he spoke up again and asked, "Do you want me to give you a ride tomorrow?"

Riley looked up from the ground and her mouth was open a little bit, "What?"

"Like to school? You said you had to walk and I guess I was gonna see if you wanted a ride instead?"

"Oh, Liam you don't have to do that. It's totally fine."

"Okay, I'll pick you up at 7:30. Is that time okay?"

"Liam-"

"Just, let me do it."

Riley just looked at him for a minute before she slowly nodded her head, "Uh, yeah. Okay. Thank you, Liam."

"Anytime, Riley." He didn't look like he was swooning as much as she was, but he definitely didn't seem like he said it as a pity gesture. Liam turned the car off and he sighed slightly. The silence wasn't unbearable. It wasn't awkward like it should have been, but Riley still broke it.

"Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? Or I guess graduate," she laughed a little at her slip up and turned her attention to him.

"Yeah, I'm going to U of M for the medical field."

"Oh my God, really? I wanna go there to be a pediatrician. It's pretty unrealistic because you have to be smart for that," she laughed lightly, "but it's fun to dream."

Liam laughed lightly and nodded his head, "I think you could do it." The sentence wasn't that big of a deal, but Riley's easy infatuation led her heart to thinking it was going to burst at the polite gesture.

"Thanks, Liam. I really appreciate that." She checked her phone for the time and sighed slightly, "Okay, I should probably get into the house soon. Thanks again for the ride, you really didn't have to do that."

He waited until she was opening the door and stepping out to say, "I know. I'll see you tomorrow morning." Riley smiled at him and then nodded before she walked inside with a smile that seemed like it would be there forever.
