After trading goods for the knife, potions, and books, we stepped out into the small village. And us three were face to face with Stoump. "We've been looking for you girls." She cackled. Illia backed up, scared. "Oh, don't be scared, I'm only going to trap, torture you, then kill you." I wanted to run, leave this treacherous world. Nothing here was worth living for.
My mother fought back, so I joined in the fight. "By every hour give me power!" She yelled with the book in her pale hands. "Be hate, see power, make Stoump weak by every hour!" I screamed. "Be born, be born, a pile of thorns!" My mom addded. Suddenly, giant dark green thorn bushes rose from the ground scratching up Stoump ugly, scarred face. Illia just stood there motionless. You could see the terror and fear in her eyes, like a terrible memory coming back to haunt her.
The thorns kept growing, until there twisted into a jail cell like formation. Hatred and anger rose from Stoump's face, her cheeks turned a rosy red color, her eyes looked as if more evil had seeped through them, to her soul. "We must run girls!" My mom said trembling with fear. So me and my mother began to run. But Illia stayed, frozen with fear. "Illia, we have to go!" Stoump was using her long knife to slice to the thorns. "Be born, be born, much more thorns!" My mother yelled. And just like that, larger, and thicker thorns sprouted from the ground and twisted, gracefully around the small, spiky prison. I grabbed Illia and pulled her along, away from here.
