The Good Within The Bad

I make it a point to see the good in the bad. That's because, bad things happen all the time. Some more than others. Especially for me. But I don't mind, I find mistakes as challenges, challenges to be better. Even if these challenges happen a lot, it's better to face them head on than to hide away in fear. Plus with my luck, if I cower away, the stress, and other possibilities, will kill me. So I find the not dying option better. But without luck on my side, that means no friends, family, or companions on my side either. Most pets I get hate me for some reason, except black cats...I'm not entirely sure why. But that's ok, I don't need them anyway!

Oh right! I'm Yin! I wish I could say I'm in college, but I'm not that smart. I CAN say that I'm a high school graduate though. That's extremely impressive. I'm like all those millions of people who couldn't increase their knowledge! Note my sarcasm. College is a challenge I couldn't overcome. And of course, my classmates had judged me. I don't really mind, I'm still a capable person, I can get a job. But the issue of a home, however, is still a work in progress. But I think I can manage. Right?

UGH! Why is it so hard to find a cheap apartment or a roommate?! Don't even get me started on the troubles of finding a job! A lot of jobs require stupid stuff like a college education! Last I checked, you didn't need a college education to run a cash register! Right now I'm sitting on a bench sulking. Life can be so hard sometimes. I feel something looking at me. I look around and see nothing. I then feel something rub my leg. I look down and try not to squeal. A black cat! I pick it up and notice that it is a girl.

"Awwww! You're to cute. Do you happen to know where a girl like me could get a job, and a roommate?" She just meowed and licked my thumb.

"Yeah, I figured," I set her on my lap and she immediately jumped out of my arms. She gracefully landed on the ground and looked at me. She flicked her tail as if she wanted me to follow her.

"Do you want me to follow you?" I asked while getting up. The cat started walking, I followed as she kept looking back to see if I was. Eventually we stopped at a pet store.

"No, no, no all animals hate me except black cats, I can't work here!" I exclaimed. The cat just rolled her eyes and beckoned for me to go in.

"I will be attacked if I go in there, and frankly, I'd rather not get shred to pieces." I refused again. She hissed and meowed in reply. Before I could say anything I heard laughter from behind me. I turned around and saw a male laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"You are. You're arguing with a cat!"

"So? She wants me to get a job here but animals hate me so I don't think it's a good idea!"

"I work here, I don't think it's possible for those animals to hate anyone. Your little friend would know. She is supposed to be in there. Plus if animals hate you, why is that cat so nice to you?" He assured. I glared at the cat.

"Just give it a try, or don't, I don't really care." The boy said. I sighed.

"I'm Yin, who do I have to talk to to get the job?"

"Yang, and I'll take you to her." He smirked as he held the door open. I pouted and walked in.
