A young Inkling boy stepped through the boundaries to the bright city of Inkopolis. Looking about to the towering structures of the great city, he felt nervousness rise within his heart. The murmur of the city's voices grew with every step he made toward the core of the city. There were so many who had come for the fires of battle, who had heard the calling of honor. Was it not why he too had been drawn to the colors of Inkopolis? There were many who could seize the grasp of victory from his name. But, he knew to rise above all the others who had come to fight for honor. For now, he was unknown, but he had come to claim the glory and light of victory, and whether he made enemies of all the others of the city, he would fight with his beloved golden Aerospray RG and make known the sound of his name. He would make his colors shine upon all the city and cover all the Turf Wars.

He had yet no team with which to fight, and he had no name by which to live. For now, he stood alone in the shadows of the city buildings. But he tempered his fear, for he knew to fight with his knowledge and strength, as he had always since the day he had first felt the heat of battle. He had come to the city of colors to make his name known. He had come to lead, and he knew that his spirit would have to stand undaunted if he was to show his power.

Long ago, his parents had told his to live in honor. They had left his with very little, but their memory had bequeathed to his a sense of strength and of duty. He had always lived within the shadow of danger and despair, but his heart was of a golden power. He would always remember the legends that his parents had been so long ago. He would always know in his heart that they had been heroes of a greater age, and in his own time, as his parents before her, he would to rise to that name. He had come for battle. He had come for honor. He had come for the Turf Wars.

With his Golden armament, he continued through the wide, clear streets of the colored city. He always carried his Golden E-Liter 3k, but he had not touched its power for so long. There was a pain in the shadow of memory that shrouded the golden reflections of his parents' strongest weapon. No one could see his face, hidden beyond a mask of black. And he wore the badge of hard victory from his parents' age, long ago, over his heart. He shined in knowledge, strength, and brilliance. And soon, he would show his talent to the world.

Coming upon the Inkopolis Plaza, he stepped forward into the center of all battle. The colors of the Turf Wars exploded into view. Many of his kind stood about in the open streets, aspiring to their own dreams and gazing at the Plaza walls in thought. The center of an illustrious, grand city buzzed in the usual busied activities of its citizens. Some scrambled into the shops built into the Plaza boundaries. Some boarded the transport behind the city gates.

Suddenly, the boy came across a young Inkling squad that had come from the Inkopolis battle center. Ink dripped off their weapons, and the entire team clahed in a spark of color. Their mismatch of gear barely fit together, but they stood together as a squad. Only color matched their team as one, and yet, still the entire squad stood together.

He smiled, believing ever more in his own power. Soon, he would leap into the fires of battle herself and live in all the colors of the world. He would fight with all his heart and strength, for he stood in irrepressible spirit, and he would let none touch his power. He held to the golden memory of his parents' age and drew an immense strength from their honor. He would claim that glory for his own name. Now, it was his day!
